I just posted a post that said, why do christians believe in a god that needs blood to make it all okay?
Why do Christians believe in a god that was pleased with blood offerings in the old testiament?
Why do christians believe in a god that will burn people forever?

They all said this is not our God, God is perfect and that is not the god of the bible!

Shocking....that christians don't read their bible....the god in both the new and old testaments is a god of sickness...read your bible christians!!!

The Bible and Qu'ran. B.C. is a time when the leaders decided, let's create a story and call it GOD. We will use the story of GOD to instill the fear of GOD in everyone. Then let us take someone, Jesus Christ, crucify him, to support our theory of GOD and write a book, the Bible or Qu'ran, with stories about do's and don'ts. A book about moral decency if you will. This will help tame and control societies for years to come.

Laws are written based on that theory. Isn't that enough. Have the Church and Mosque's gone too far through time instilling this fear into everyone. It's been 2000 years plus. Don't you believe that people who still believe every word in these religious literatures to be that of an extremist? We have laws now. And nobody needs to instill the fear of God in people.

I believe the Church has done wonderful things throughout time and helped many people. But, I also believe they have hurt people and told too many lies.

Sorry if the main line of the question offends anyone, I'm just entertaining a new line of thought that has been brought to my attention.

You see, despite the actual FACT that I have witnessed MANY loving acts and words from people of these faiths throughout my time, there appears to be an opposite theory.

It's also a fact that I have read the Wiccan Rede, which supports my own theory that there is no possibility of so called 'evil' within the Wiccan faith.

And I'm just wondering if I've somehow missed something.

Can anybody point out anything factual to support the opposite theory, so that I may take it into consideration, otherwise I'm just gonna ignore anyone who presents this (in my belief) offensive opinion to me.

The opportunity to speak up starts..... NOW

What I mean is that, if god is supposed to be loving, kind forgiving and modest why did he make sure everyone knew about him and why did he want us to make worshipping centers for him and why did he say that if we dont worship him well go to hell, isn't that kind arrogant? Please don't bite my head off, just want to hear different opinions..

Doubt creeps in when we expect easy access to the rewards from God. Only through longsuffering are His promises realized because He wants to make sure your faith in Him is sincere and genuine.

So the next time someone you once trusted has failed you, would you then put your trust in God that will never fail you?

Why doesnt god just blink the sinner out of existence? Or better yet why doesnt he just take away their free will? Thats better than suffering for all eternity is it not? Why did he choose an eternal punishment? Does he get pleasure out of this? You can't tell me that an omnipotent god can't change his own rules?

Well, this is it. The nukes have been launched and it looks like the good ole USA is about to be toast. Take advantage of the little time you have. What are you going to do?

P.S. This is just a hypothetical question.

This contains them all.

Before you defend slavery, child murder, genocide, or paying a king in foreskins (yes read it under "absurd" I think), please please please... THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU WILL BE DEFENDING! READ IT, REALIZE THE HATE IT SHOWS, AND WONDER ABOUT IT! That being said, every verse here will have a justification.... Makes me sick.

This phrase sounds like an oxymoron but so many racists on Yahoo claim they are Christian. My favorites are the ones that say stuff like "the jews are parasites that leech off the white man". Don't they know Jesus was a Jew? And that Moses married an Ethiopian? Anyway does anybody have any Biblical refrences that support racism?

I'm thinking about such issues as abortion, prayer in schools, gay marriage, the euthanasia option for terminally ill people, medicinal marijuana, teaching about evolution, and so on.

What I believe about each of these topics...doesn't matter. I'm aiming for an underlying principle.

What I'm trying to ask is: how can we achieve majority rule with minority rights? When a majority of people share a particular belief, how can they know whether that belief impinges on the rights of a minority? Can the majority be trusted to consider minority rights before making a law?

For a little background, visit:
http://usinfo.state.gov/products/pubs/principles/majority.htm

I'm asking this in R&S because this is where I come to defend minority rights against dogmatic attack. I'm looking for a guiding principle that can fairly used by all people, regardless of religious affiliation.

The Bible does show God's feminine side in one of the books
(chapter & verse) of the NT. In the OT, a book (3 chapters & 3 verses) where it shows God's wisdom is personified as a female. But, God has chosen to reveal Himself in the Bible as having a male personage. God is always referred to as a "Him" or a "He." Did you know this?

I've heard it said that Hell was "created" Satan fell but that it is more of a "state of existence apart from God" than an actual physical place.

And yet Christ seems to repeatedly describes Hell in Scripture as an actual place. In fact, theologians throughout the centuries have actually posited it lies deep in the Earth. Fascinating, huh?

Does anyone know the Church's definitive teaching on this?

According to the Theory of Evolutionism, DNA are the building blocks of life. However, the prominent creationist scientist Em Adjineri has proved that DNA cannot be the building blocks of life using a simple experiment.

DNA stands for deoxyribonucleic acid. The key word is ACID. In the experiment, a bunch of hippos drank acid instead of water. All of the hippos died shortly thereafter.

This proves that acid kills living things. Since DNA is an acid, it must be harmful to life. If its harmful, then it cannot be the building block of life.

Therefore, your entire theory (which is really nothing but a body of propositions that makes accurate predictions and provides explanations for evidence) is flawed.

The only alternative is a literal interpretation of the Bible, which is not flawed (I'm ignoring the flaws in the Bible because doing so helps my argument.)

Take that, deoxyribolutionists!

I know this isn’t religion and spirituality but I also know that I’ll get an answer fast here and this greatly impacts both our lives.

Today part of the company my husband works for was bought out. He’s very nervous about whats going to happen, and frankly, so am I. I honestly don’t know what to say to him when we talk after he finishes work tonight.

Both companies are vying for him to work for them. They are both offering him the wage he’s receiving now.

The new company would offer a more prestigious title, and better benefits as well as future movement to a higher position. However, its unknown in a way that’s difficult to deal with. We don’t know how stable the company is, and he would lose all seniority and influence he has with his current company.

The current company will give him a lesser title with the same wage doing something he doesn’t really want to do but definitely has the training and skill for. However, with this company he has influence, respect, and an extensive
