Yes, I pray for world peace, and I try as much as possible to work toward it, as well. If I only prayed for it, and didn't try actively working for it, then I'd only be doing the job halfway. I must behave in a peaceful manner myself, if I have any hope for other people doing so. As for the causes, I think it's largely due to a lack of education, empathy and respect. People often combat what they *think* other people's beliefs and practices are, rather then finding out firsthand.

It bothers me that so much violence is in the world, but knowing human nature, not so much as surprised...also, I don't pray for peace, I don't pray at all...I think that what causes it is just the fact of life, life is a war, a battle. It starts all the way from microorganisms fighting for food, to plants fighting for sunlight, to us humans fighting over religion, WMD, and other things. See, life is a war, so in order to have peace, we have to say "bye-bye" to life. Also, I believe that the source of war is the rich and powerful, while the poor man has to go and fight the war. Also, religion, see how many things are started from religion? (Crusades, Inquisition, 9/11, destruction of the African and Native American cultures, etc.) and money, and just the fact it's ingrained in every life form. Hope I helped.

It is a very sad thing when One Refuses to forgive, Holds a grudge, and cannot forget a Wrong........ I understand this young fellow was impacted by many circumstances, damaging His ability to Forgive Or Trust. Only God knows what really took place in His Heart and Mind......But we Know all the people involved That escaped Death need our Prayers and God's Almighty Hand Placed on Them and their Sorrow tonight. We ask that God will strengthen them and Use In a Positive way The negative things they Have experienced and gone through...We ask these things in Jesus' Precious Name...Amen & amen <> Victorious Prayer Warrior<>

don't you find it interesting that people have been praying for peace for centuries and yet it has never helped? What should that tell a rational, sane, logical, honest-thinking person?

The bible tells us man's heart is evil and desperately wicked. It all stems from when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate of the forbidden fruit. From that time on sin came into the world and that is why we experience what we do today.

I think it's the way people are just being selfish. There are certainly a lot of things that go into it. But one thing above all, people become full of themselves.

Yes it bothers me, but I don't pray. I think it's religious conflict.
