What I mean is that, if god is supposed to be loving, kind forgiving and modest why did he make sure everyone knew about him and why did he want us to make worshipping centers for him and why did he say that if we dont worship him well go to hell, isn't that kind arrogant? Please don't bite my head off, just want to hear different opinions..

Because "God" is a scam. Religion is used to control the sheep of society. The bible is a fictional book, so who cares what it says. Read it like you would read John Grishom, except the bible will be better at putting you to sleep.

I dont remember the Bible saying that God is modest (I'm not a biblical scholar or anything) But I do know that it says that God is a jealous God and wants us to love him, like parents desire to have their children love them
God is forgiving, to a point. He set rules into place at the beginning of time that say if anyone should reject him, they would be cast into hell. I think it hurts God to send people to hell, but... people make their own decisions

Wow , reading some of the answers from the aithiests take on what they think of what becomes of a dead cat,(beloved friend ) . and how they deal with that kind of loss,, I'm kind of glad that I was forced to like god ,, he sure has a prettyier after life then the grim darkness they seem to think is waitin for them ,,, after this minuet is over,,, ya it's nice to have forever to look forward to,, I don't even have to be all that good just ,not bad is all... I think I can pull that off...

If you were a parent and had children, wouldn't you want and expect your children to love you and come running home to you each day, have surprise parties on special occasions, things like that?
God is our FATHER. We are his children. If nobody did anything, we would all forget about him, and he would be in pain all the time, if none of us cared and Loved HIM too.
So few are sending loving these days that HE maybe hurting now even. Pray to God and tell him you believe, that you love Him.

He wants us to worship Him, but he's given us a choice by creating us with a free will. We are not robots. He has also given us the opportunity to live with Him in heaven, and the salvation from our sins, the necessary ingredient to do so if we desire. He's not forcing anything on us. So why is that arrogant? He is God, after all.

I dont think some of the types of worship is what he had in mind. He wants a people who trust him just as a pet puts trust in you to care and feed them and they enjoy your presence. God created us for his own pleasure. But we keep running off to his enemy and entertaining him instead. like a cheating partner
