No, I don't think Jesus would approve. The land that makes up Israel was taken from Palestine by Britain. I've heard stories of Christian missionaries who have gone to Israel and Palestine to protect the Palestinians and in one story, the Christian missionaries had to throw themselves in front of armed Israeli military officers and beg them not to shoot some Palestinians. I've also heard stories of Jewish Americans who were born and raised here in America and then moved to Israel and would tell Palestinians to get off of "their land." How true are these stories? I don't really know. Will there ever be peace in that region? Who knows, but what I do know is you can not take someone's land from them and expect them to be happy about it. I think Jesus would be disappointed with the decision Britain made to take land from the Palestinians to give to the Jews. Both sides need to come to an understanding that neither is going anywhere any time soon. Give Peace a Chance!

Well, since Jesus was Jewish, I'm pretty sure he'd be horrified at how the Jews have been treated.

The Palestinians weren't 'ousted'. The very term 'Palestinian' originally referred to the Jews, as they were the ones living in Palestine! Mark Twain, returning from that region in the 19th century, famously reported: 'Apart from the Jews living there, there is nothing but a few wandering Arab nomads'.

Jews have lived there continuously for almost 4000 years. So I'm sure Jesus would not have a problem with their having a tiny Jewish state of their own.

The British were the ones who promised the land to both the Arabs and the Jews. If the Arab world had accepted Partition, there would today be a Palestinian state existing alongside Israel.

But the Arab world rejected the plan, even though it was fair to all. Instead, all the surrounding Arab nations attacked Israel.

I doubt Jesus would be happy about that - nor the fact that people like you repeatedly try to portray Israel as the villain of the peace when anyone with any intelligence knows she is just fighting for survival.

God is not a Zionist. Thats scriptural. He made the newly freed from Egypt wander for years. Its not that far to walk.
Jesus was definitely not a prowar kind of leader. You have to realise everything he said was with one hand the people wanting the Romans out and the other with the Romans watch all the messiahs carefully. People dont realize it but there were at that time many messiah's. Thats the reason for all the annoying begets and the endless time spent on where Jesus was said to be born. This is all an attempt to prove to the Jews that he was truely the one.

The Bible predicted to the day that Israel would become a nation again. Grant R. Jeffrey had a great sermon on it and it's true. So I guess since Jesus is God he had a little something to do with it.

Probably... he was Jewish, and the Jews are the ones his pappy has a covenant with... So, he'd probably be kicking the Palestinians out, too.

EDIT:
Bert... where, in the Bible, is it predicted "to the day" as you say, when the Jews would get their land back?

I want a book and verse that has the precise date on it.

Perhaps Jesus might teach Palestinians about peace, and turning the other cheek, and lead them to the epiphany that their best chance at realizing their own state is to stop murdering people.

I'm not Christian, but I'm pretty sure Jesus wouldn't approve of terrorism.

I think he would be irritated. Not about the Jews being in Israel, after all it is their homeland. He'd be irritated by teh way they treat the Palestinians. While He was a Jew, He was also the Messiah that came to die for the sins of ALL humanity.

It was He who gave them the land, being the 2nd person of the Godhead:

" the word he commanded, for a thousand generations, the covenant he made with Abraham,
the oath he swore to Isaac.
He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree,
to Israel as an everlasting covenant:
"To you I will give the land of Canaan
as the portion you will inherit." "
Psalm 105:8-11

He shall furthermore return and rule over His people Israel as their Messiah, out of the City of the Great King: Jerusalem.

" For the LORD has chosen Zion,
he has desired it for his dwelling:

"This is my resting place for ever and ever;
here I will sit enthroned, for I have desired it- "
Psalm 132:13-14

He'd want everyone to get along. That's what's sad about how his followers have distorted his teachings. It's as if no one was listening to him.
