I make an honest effort to put others before myself. This doesn’t come from my nature, it comes from my faith. I think that if I were an atheist I would live a life of complete and utter selfishness. What prevents all atheists from doing this?

Or will you not vote for him because he's a mormon?

Do you consider mormonism a sect of christianity?

First I want all of you to know that the question is to solve the doubt in my head about christianity.
I don't blame or disapprove of christianity.

1.According to my research there is no clear phrase where Jesus Christ declares " Oh people ! Worship me , the almighty" or something like that.

2. What explanation for the following versus do you have:

a. "My Father is Greater than I " (John 14:28)
b."...I cast out devils by the spirit of God..." ( Mathew 12;28)

3. Jesus refuted even a remote suggestion of his divinity. Consider the following incident in the Bible :

"And, behold , one came and said unto him, " Good master , what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?"

And he said " Why callest thou me Good?
There is none good but one that is God"

(The BIble , Mathew 5:17-20)

Any explanation.
Please donot show disrespect for your religion by answering something meaningless or out of the point, please speak in the real way for the better good.

According to the theory of evolution, the first life arose randomly from a "chemical soup". (I know this is abiogenesis and not evolution, but I'm ignoring the distinction because otherwise my argument would be worthless.)

Creation scientist Em Adjineri (say her name out loud) has attempted to replicate the spontaneous generation of life. She started with a soup (chicken noodle, I think) and added various chemicals from under her sink to make a "chemical soup." She then shined a light on this chemical soup and sealed it (to prevent bacteria from the air from mixing with the soup.)

The theory of evolution says that eventually the soup should start to create life. Em Adjineri waited five whole minutes, but life did not randomly generate! This proves that abiogenesis is impossible, and therefore that evolution is impossible.

Since creationism is the only possible alternative to evolution, (I'm ignoring other alternatives because it helps my argument) creationism must be true!

The research states never ever in the history has children been as violent and dis-obedient to thier elders and to thier parents as they are today
We live in a Society with Parents doting on every demand of thier children creating a entitlement, lazy and materialistic society to come about.

The Crime today is commited by more children under 18 then recorded before...

The most serious and chronic offenders often show signs of antisocial behavior as early as the preschool years.
(American an Psychiatric Association, 1994) (was in Juvenile Justice Bulletin: Nov 1998 OJJDP: U.S. Department of Justice)

• Six thousand American students were kicked out of school in the 1996-97 school year for packing weapons.

- John Hendren, "Internet Provides Bomb Blueprints," www.ap.org, April 26, 1999 (Kids Killing Kids)

• One million U.S. students took guns to school in 1998

What other time has Children been this violent to a society?

In other words, should a large group of people be executed because their society condones slavery, regardless of whether those executed actually practiced slavery?

Isn't this cheating? It took me awhile to catch onto this but, I am very aware of how many of you work now. It is not just Christians doing this but, it bothers me for you to call yourself a Christian and then CHEAT for your points!

Can you please tell me why you feel cheating for points is okay in your eyes? I surely know that it is NOT okay in the eyes of the Father which is in heaven!

I, personally, enjoy healthy dialogue about the Church. There's a Mormon on R&S that has created a good site for dialogue, and I was wondering what you all think of it.

http://www.lds-exchange.com

It looks like a positive thing for members of the Church to be able to discuss doctrines together, along with occasional input from LDS critics like myself. What do you think?

...to be "facts of life" that will never change?

If so, what are these "facts of life" -and- why won't or can't they change? OR, is Every belief in this life changeable; if so, why do you -believe- this?

I've heard individuals use the term "concrete fact" only yo retort that not even concrete is permanent. That after time, and a lot of wear-down, even concrete will begin to break! Might this be the case for all "facts of life" (and or beliefs)?

Thoughts...?
