..... do I get jumpy when I hear strange noises at night?

I'm a logical person, I don't believe in ghosts at all, and I'm not religious what so ever. But sometimes when I lie in bed at night in the dark, and I hear 'suspious' noises, I get scared and have not very nice thoughts. I also can't leave my cudboard door a little bit open, I have to shut it completely or i'll stare at it untill I go to sleep...

I feel really daft because I'm not into all that stuff, yet it still manages to frighten me.

Does anyone else have this problem?

First it is a cool song:

Now I don't hardly know her
But I think I could love her
Crimson and clover

Ah
Well if she come walkin' over
Now I been waitin' to show her
Crimson and clover
Over and over

Yeah
My mind's such a sweet thing
I wanna do everything
What a beautiful feeling
Crimson and clover
Over and over

Crimson and clover, over and over

Joan Jett made it sound cool but it was written by Tommy James and the Shondells.

Now if you meditate upon the spirtual aspect of this song, what sort of ideas pop into your head?

(I had to make the question agreeable for the R&S nazi's who report your question if it does not apply to R&S)

Isn't that a failure of the imagination? What do we mean when we say we are made in God's image? Do we imagine that God has nostrils and breathes? If so, what does he breathe? Air? Where is the air? Air with oxygen in it? No other planet in the solar system has oxygen except the Earth. Why restrict God to a few places? Why would he need nostrils? What about a navel? Would God have a navel? What about hair? What about a vermiform appendix? What about toes?

In 1890, bible reading was outlawed from Wisconsin schools. Who was responsible? A Roman Catholic family. A Roman Catholic family objected to the exclusive use of the Protestant King James Version of the bible. The court barred all bible reading from Wisconsin public schools. [State ex rel. Weiss vs. District Board, 76 Wisc. 177 (1890)]. Catholicism was a small minority in 19th-century America. It is usually minority groups who need the protection of the Bill of Rights.

The U.S. Supreme Court outlawed student-initiated prayers at high-school football games in 2000. Who were the plaintiffs in that lawsuit? Roman Catholic and Mormon families. The Texas lawsuit was taken by a Catholic family and a Mormon family who had children who were being harassed by the born-again majority in the public schools.

Thoughts on this information?

Troll, Lunatic, Insane in the Membrane and other vile shelly words..

My posts are from articles research on current events, newspapers magazines, and by the way do you understand the Mainstream Media and the Government will do thier best to hide information that does not benefit them from the General Public..I like to spy and find out what they are hiding.
I also don't call Atheists Devil Worshippers when I say Satan I mean Satan is trying to win souls away from GOD, I am surely not saying Atheists are stirring a cauldron while typing on the R&S Site..

I don't agree with everything I post but I think we all need to know what is going on with GOD haters or deniers because millions of people do love GOD and care about the society they live in don't ya think?

There would be less problems in schools if prayers would be admitted because it would help to get focus back on God and making things right. What do you think? No sarcastic, rude remarks.

A guy I went to school with was killed in a house fire early Sunday morning. His roommates/team mates/friends were
attempting to play a joke on him and threw roman candles into his bedroom and they landed in a towel and caught fire. He was only 19. We held a vigil for him last night at our high school. Heres more information:

Is the world supposed to be changed? I don't think so, I believe the world, cosmically moves through different conditions, through which affect the people.

However, that is not the question, it would be is the world bad and wrong? I know many suffer in the world, but as I see it the world is a school/university of experience and a life that one lives is in proportion to the necessity that such a life gives in regards to development and experience. It is also my opinion that there can never be peace on this world, in that sense, but we can use the outer world to invoke inner peace and understand why things are the way they are from a higher reality/perspective. Otherwise we negate where an individual is at, from where they stand, some can't have tolerance, some don't want understanding, some walk as animals only in the form of man, some are poor because others are rich, some have knowledge because others do not, and etc.

I had a nice visit from a pair of Jehovah's witnesses this weekend, and after the usual song and dance of evolution, cyclical big-bangs, the fact that adam and eve could never have been responsible for all of us (since their gene-pool's too small) etc. I asked that good old standby of why they take the bible as absolute authority.

As usual I got the old song and dance about prophecies coming true etc. but after I countered with the fact that pretty-much all the ancient traditions can show dozens of accurate prophecies, the best they could come up with was that not all prophecy comes from god.

So my question is, and I hope a few educated theologians get their teeth into this: Where does the bible derive its authority from. The answer can't be God, because it's the bible that tells us about God, so that would become a circular reference. Why is the bible an absolute authority to every christian out there?
