Life is in the Blood. He poured out his life for us.

Because God just can't forgive us, it's not enough. It would show to the whole universe that the transgression of God's law was not a serious thing. But it is. So the blood of someone equal to the law, who had lived a sinless life here on earth, was needed. On the cross, Jesus suffered the weight of every sin that had ever, or would ever, be commited. So, what that means, is that our sins are now resting upon Jesus. If we confess and forsake our sins, our sins will be forgive. Now, at Judgment Day, those who have not had their sins forgiven will have their sins put upon them again and will suffer accordingly.

The Jewish sacrificial system is representative of what I just said. Every year, at the cleansing of the sanctuary, the high priest would offer a burnt offering and a sin offering. Then the high priest would take two young goats, and cast lots to decide which one would be for the Lord, and which one would be the scapegoat. The one that is the Lord's would be sacrificed as a sin offering. He would then take the blood of the bullock (the sin offering), and then he would enter into the holy place, where the ark of the covenant was, and sprinkle the blood onto the mercy seat. Then he would kill the goat that was for the sin offering, and take that blood and also sprinkle it onto the mercy seat. After that is done, all the people would make atonement for their sins. Then, the high priest would place his hands of the head of the scapegoat and confess over it all the sins of the children of Israel, and once all the sins of the people were put on the head of the goat, the goat was sent out into the wilderness.

So, I hope you can see the symbolism with the cleansing of the sanctuary, and how it relates to what Jesus did. Jesus was the goat that was sacrificed for us, and it is his blood, not his death, that cleanses us from sin.

If you really want to study it more, you should read:
Lev. 16
Heb. 2, 7, 8, 9, 10
If you read these chapters, you will understand more clearly what Jesus really did for us on the cross.

Jesus did not have the blood of Adam in Him but the only pure blood because He was conceived by the Holy Ghost. Therefore Jesus was the only perfect sacrifice for sin because His blood was pure and He was without sin. No other man was qualified.

Matthew 1:18 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)

18Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Luke 1:35 (King James Version)
King James Version (KJV)

35And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

When the church started to convert believers over, they needed to truly convince those with pagan beliefs. So they incoprorated the halo from the sun god, blood from pagan rituals and a whole slew of rituals that have been practiced for thousands of years in order to appeal to new comers. It has to do with control and what happens to be the easiest way to do this, that is why belief systems change over time. So the control factor may wax and wane, but is more difficult to break.

Most Christians say they are "Judeo-Christians", as they want to believe all of the Jewish Old Testament and the Christian New Testament.

Way back in history, the Persians, Mithraics, Hebrews, Egyptians and other humans living in that "Middle East" area all did bloody human and then bloody animal sacrifices. Yes, all very dark and barbaric and ungodly ! God never wanted that ! Evil man did ! Sadly today, most (but not all) sincere Christians still falsely think you need to have our PERFECT GODMAN JESUS CHRIST be a "blood sacrifice" (atonement) to "appease the wrath of God" and to thus "allow" him to forgive our sins.

GOD is not divided in his PERFECT, UNCHANGING ONE ATTITUDE ! God is not a sub-human "vampire" needing a "big fix" of blood to change his "cold heart" to accepting us ! PLEASE DO Know the Truth that GOD is just as loving and merciful and kind and Fatherly Friendly AS JESUS IS !
Amen ! You do know and say that JESUS is just like GOD; so say to all also the SAME TRUTH that GOD is just like JESUS ! HE IS I AM

We Jesusonians are pure Christians, and never would add any barbaric, dark age, "Old Testament" beliefs into our Divinely Revealed religion of Truth. We have One Authority: HE the Spirit of ALL TRUTH -- HE IS SOVEREIGN JESUS HERE with us and upon all Truth-lovers worldwide and universe wide !

See and believe John 16:7-16, and not any dead, semi-savage old human "prophets" who, back then, could only very very dimly perceive our One Infinite Changeless (Absolute) Father God -- I AM.

In the near future, the barbaric, untrue "atonement" doctrines will progress up to "Attunement" and then even "At-One-ment in Jesus in God", here and now and just as and just where YOU are !

Peace and progress,

There are two things Jesus is. We found in I Corinthians. He is our passover. For passover they had to have what? A lamb. What sex? Male. Without what? Blemish. He had to be kept up and examined. Then he had to be Killed. Then his blood had to be applied to the doorposts. If there is no blood on the doorposts, you could kill a thousand lambs, but your firstborn is going to be killed! we are reconciled by His death and kept saved by His life.Jesus is not only our passover, but our Atonement. The lamb killed on the altar is not all of it. Its necessary, but not all of it. The blood had to be taken inside the holy of holies and sprinkled on the mercy seat by the high priest-Jesus is our Lamb, and Jesus is our resurrected High Priest! In the book of Revelation over and over again He is called the Lamb. "I saw the lamb" is stated often in Revelation, but it is very interesting that in the epistles not much is said about Him as a lamb. Paul speaks about Him in most of Hebrews as High Priest. When you were unsaved, you needed a lamb. As soon as you got that lamb, you needed that blood sprinkled on the mercy seat - the resurrected Christ.
This is the Gospel! If Jesus only died for our sins, then Paul in I Corinthians 15 gave us too much Gospel! Buddha died! Confucius died! Popes die! ONLY Jesus was raised! , the reason He was raised is for our justification so God could declare us righteous and holy as He sees not our sins, but the blood of Jesus Christ! The blood of God's Son keeps on cleansing us from all sin!
He is my Lamb; death could not keep Him, the grave could not hold Him, sin could not conquer Him, but He rose as my High Priest!

Because the book of Hebrews tells us that without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin.

The OT sacrificial system pointed to the coming Savior........

Because we were in bondage to sin (Spiritual Egypt). being in bondage to sin, we had to have the price of redemption. The price of the redemption for the Children of Israel that were in physical bondage in physical Egypt was the blood of lambs. The price for our redemption from Spriitual Egypt was the blood of the Son of God.

God hates disobedience to the point, something has to pay the price for it.
When Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, God killed an animal to make them clothes.
Sin always brings about death, today it is spiritual death.
Jesus paid the price for us, ONCE and for all.
For your sins and mine. Thank God.
