Certainly typical of what some christian educators think they are entitled to do in the name of their god.

Have a nice day.

No, it's not. Christians are flawed, too. We make mistakes. We're not Christians because we're prefect; we're Christians because we're so far from it.

Yes, Christians are supposed to be loving. Sometimes people mess that up a lot. It happens, and it's sad, but it is not an accurate picture of who Christ was or who Christians are as a whole.

Yeah. Spare the rod, spoil the child! It's like tying kids hands behind their backs to force them to use their right hands because being left-handed means you're touched by the devil (They tried that on me when I was a kid. Luckily my Amazon Queen of a mom kicked some butts all over the schoolyard.;-)

Wow, the article did sadden me to see something like this happening. But we live in a falled world, so stuff like this should in no way represent Christianity as a whole.

No, this is not accurate, any more than it is accurate to say that ALL atheists would force their 8 year old daughters into a tub of scalding hot water as a punishment. (IT DID happen in this state.) (The child died.)
Are we to assume, then, that all atheists punish their children in this manner? Of course not...same in this case.
This is totally NOT accurate.

It's amazing how people will claim to be Christian and then do horrible acts.
So to answer your question no this isn't Christian love. But then again you already knew that, this was to get an anger response.

Well since you apparently don't know the difference, you obviously need to read the Bible more, esp. the part about loving thy neighbor as thyself.

The rest of us were able to figure out that it wasn't.

That is the most horrid way to use the name of God ever. How dare this man who claims to serve a God of love do that? I believe he must not have truly followed his God becuase that God would never influence such injust actions.
