It depends. Mark Twain grew up believing that slavery was perfectly normal and natural and approved of by god. He wasn't a bad person - he just didn't know any better. Later in life he figured out that he had been very wrong on this issue. On the other hand you can imagine people in the pre-war South who were old enough and smart enough to know that slavery was immoral but did it anyway. Those people are bad.
I would say it is the same with homosexuality.

Why do people who don't condone homosexuality automatically get called rude or mean names? Most (and I emphasize that word!) Christians don't hate homosexuals or even dislike them. We follow God's teachings, which state homosexuality is a sin. It also says lying, adultery, jealousy, and many other things are sinning. Doesn't mean we hate anyone who does those things either. In fact, FYI Christians sin too! We aren't perfect or any better than anyone else. No sin is less or more of a sin than another. I don't think of homosexuals as any better or less than myself, because I sin all the time.
So at least try not to be disrespectful to Christians with the juvenile name-calling, just because we disagree with your lifestyle. If it's bothering you that much, then maybe it's an issue in your personal life, rather than what we say.

In the 50's it was decided homosexuals were (are) mentally ill.
Now that we have an overpopulation problem our govt.'s of the world have been rethinking the whole mentally ill concept and trying to indoctrinate the religious right to accept these fruit cakes as okay.
Homosexuality is not only a sin , but disgusting in the eyes of God and all His people.
If you think we are delusional let's see what God had to say about it through the writer of the letter to Rome and to the Corinthian churchIn

According to the Bible Homosexuality is wrong.....
But heck so is Fornication, Adultry, Smoking and Gossiping... the Bible speaks about all of this.
I believe there are more Fornicators, Adulterers, Smokers and Gossipers in the world than gay people.
In my opinion whatever a person chooses to do with their life is their business...once it doesn't affect me in anyway. Homosexuality does not affect me. I have a gay friend... and he's one of the most sexiest, intelligent, honest and faithful friend I have.

A little of both. Maybe a touch fearful of what they don't understand, and prejudiced because they were raised that way and are uncomfortable with change. Possibly they lack the ability to think and reason for themselves.

I agree ... its probably a little of both.
There are some bigoted jerks out there, who dislike anyone and everyone different from them, and hate homosexuality just because they can ... and they use bible scripture because they think its a legitimate excuse.
There are -- actually -- some nice people out there who have just simply been brainwashed into believing that someone else's sexual orientation is "sinful".

As a homosexual, I strongly believe that people who disagree with it are just misinformed and uneducated. I don't believe they mean to be idiots, they were just raised as biggots. I feel sorry for 'haters'. At PRIDE day the christian haters (who always get me, because isn't the judging left up to Christ, not his people?) stand there picketing w/ there GOD HATES FAGS signs while there children stand there watching and learning from there parents who STRONGLY encourage the HATE. It is really quite sad. There are A LOT of loving non biggoting Christians, and to those i say God bless you, and thank you. For the biggots, i say only God can judge your hateful actions and may Karma get the best of you. :)

It really depends on what you mean by "bad" people.
If, by bad, you mean someone who has broken the 10 Commandments (you have told a lie, you have cheated in one way or another, you have taken something that isn't rightly yours to take, you have used God's name as a swear word, or in a manner not worthy of His Holy nature, you have been so angry that you wished someone dead - Jesus said that's the same as murder in your heart, you have looked at another person with sexual desires - Jesus said if so, you are guilty of adultery in your heart, disobeyed your parents, etc, etc), then there is NONE righteous, no not one. There is no one who seeks after God. All we like sheep have turned aside, we have each turned to our own ways. We have usurped God's rightful authority tantamount to high treason, and we have been in rebellion against God.
So, who does NOT fit into this category? Nobody.
So is a homosexual or a heterosexual (either one) a good person? No - for ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
I thank God that He sent Jesus to pay the penalty for MY crimes against God (ie sins). He died for you, too, but you need to confess and forsake your sins to make His payment effective in your own life.
