I am 68 yrs old and child labor laws came into effect during my life time. Before that, children worked in mines and fields and kitchens etc. From ancient times to just recently children, from the time they could walk, had to work. From about World war I to about 1970 was the Golden Age for children. Starting with the NEED for women to work, the family has gone downhill and unsupervised Children get in trouble. Until we can ALL live on one paycheck per family, kids will be trouble.
