I, personally, enjoy healthy dialogue about the Church. There's a Mormon on R&S that has created a good site for dialogue, and I was wondering what you all think of it.

It looks like a positive thing for members of the Church to be able to discuss doctrines together, along with occasional input from LDS critics like myself. What do you think?

It could be fun but I'm afraid of Mormon bashers coming in and ridiculing us. We get too much of that here!

BTW, the links don't work on the web site - email me

Talking about the truth of the Mormon church is a very good thing as long as there is listening going on.
If you are a critic, you know that there is much to say about the deception that has gone on in the early LDS church.

Ya I heard about this already...I'll tell you what I told the other guy:

I think it could be a good thing, but it would be awfully hard to keep the flame wars at a minimum, as LDS critics have a hard time competing with Apologetics fervor.

I personally might go there from time to time just to check on the site's success, but I doubt very much that this issue will ever be resolved.
Open discussion with so-called "apostates" is frowned upon by senior members of the church, and I doubt very many faithful will want healthy dialog that isn't laced with the:
"We are right and you are stupid" mindset.

I hate to be cynical, and generalizing, but I've known Mormons all my life...

i think of it incredibly is humorous that they sell Anti-Mormon literature in a Christian e book keep. interior the "Mormon" area, each little thing is "Anti-Mormon". shouldn't the flaws interior the "Jesus" area be "anti-Jesus" in the event that they're attempting to be consistent? There are fairly some people who're loud and vocal that don't love the LDS church. it incredibly is elementary for them to make issues up and declare that Mormons have faith those issues. listed right here are some issues that we don't think, yet i've got heard human beings say that we do persistently: -We have faith in a various Jesus -we are no longer Christians -We worship Joseph Smith -Adam replaced into God -God and Mary had intercourse -Joseph Smith replaced right into a rapist -we are a cult -We do sexual issues interior the temple -We have faith that we can keep ourselves by way of works -we don't think in Grace -we are polytheistic -The e book of Mormon has 4000+ textual adjustments i ought to pass on. I even have had human beings ask to work out my horns because of the fact their minister pronounced we had horns. it fairly is the cyber web. merely because of the fact somebody positioned it there, it does not make it actual. pass returned and ask your self why you have been going to connect the LDS church. What has replaced because then? Christ wasn't universal while he replaced into on earth. Neither have been the Jews till now that. Christ's church has by no potential been universal. Take it up with the Lord, no longer boards. God bless.

I can't wait until there is more discussion on there. I just checked it again and saw JimB's post about the Aaronic Priesthood and I'm going to try to do a little research on it.

It's cool.
