Well, I am a Christian with passionate devotion, and I don't consider my faith to be religion. Yes, to me there is a difference. Religion is a set of rules that one must follow in order to be considered righteous. Faith is my belief and my conviction based on what I have seen, felt and have known to be true.
With that said, I would say that my faith does NOT prevent me from having sex outside of my marriage, nor did it ever prevent me from having pre-marital sex.
It was my desire to please God that gave me motivation to not do it. The Bible says that sex outside of marriage does not please God. Since God is my friend, I don't want to do something to displease Him.
A religion may prevent someone from having pre-marital sex, but it ultimately cannot stop them. Contrary to the belief of some, people do not become robots by ascribing to any certain religion or faith. They just desire to live by the standards of that faith in order to live a better life.
My wife and I were both virgins when we were married and neither of us have any regret about that. Because we were faithful to the principles of God's word, He has blessed us with an amazing marriage which is partially due to the unmatchable intimacy that comes with not having previous "experience". We don't have anything to compare to so therefore we don't have to feel uncomfortable about whether we're better than past partners or not. We don't have to worry about the other thinking about past partners when we are with each other. Most importantly, we don't have to worry about ending our relationship, because we are truly committed to each other for life. That may sound like a bad thing to some, but there is such a comfort in knowing that no matter what we go through, we will be by each other's side.
It's amazing, and I would want nothing else.

we musn't have pre-marital sex...and the sooner you know the better..because marriage theoretically should prevent you from a man/woman who only wants to take advantage of your body. Those who want your body generally would give up if they cannot have it without marriage. Still there are some who would even marry you..just to have your body..and don;' bother about loving your soul...e.g in saint Ciprian 's life..it is shown how a wizard became a saint before he died. a man wanting a beautiful woman(the saint Irina)but she prayd to God and the spells of the wizard couldn't touch her. The wizard was working wih satan and was seeing and meeting satan, and satan sent sexual sensations over her..but she resisted ..then satan did something that was only within his power..but also the saint Irina was helped by Jesus. The man who wanted her body...even wanted to marry her..but she refused because she was christian and felt that that love is satanic and not christian...God bless you..

My desire to follow Christ is preventing from having pre-marital sex, and I'm okay with that.

No, It doesn't get in the way at all. But then my belief in God really doesn't adhere to any religious tenets. I relate to God on my own terms. The bible has a lot of good stuff in it but ultimately it is just a book written by men. I take their advice under consideration and then make my own decisions.

Religion doesn't prevent it. An understanding of God's will and a desire to be open to his grace is why people do not have sex outside of marriage. It's love for God and his love for us.
Plus a marriage should be open to life, to children. You don't want to bring children into the world if you are not married.

In and of itself there is easily no longer something incorrect with intercourse. It replaced into creation of God, and God's creation is stable. the place sin enters in with premarital intercourse, and that i've got faith it to be extreme, is the reality that we are making use of yet somebody else for our own own benefit. It makes no distinction if the intercourse replaced into consensual. it is merely 2 human beings making use of the different for their own own benefit. another factor Mark. do no longer stay your existence in concern of hell, and doing or no longer doing issues to dodge it. fairly, stay your existence in love of God. Do each little thing with Him in techniques.
