I saw this on the news last night and I don't understand why people are getting upset. Its a private college, a catholic college that obviously isn't going to have birth control lying around. The reporter accused him of supressed individual liberties. What? You don't like it, go to a public college! It's not different that any other relgious college! Maybe I missed something.

I would tell you my testimony but you are to stubborn to hear anything not from your idol so let your idol speak truth to you that you might at last find love.

John 15:17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.

John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose.

Romans 13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if [there be] any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Romans 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love [is] the fulfilling of the law.

i was raised with a family that each parent had a different religion. i get confused sometimes with those things. my question is

Why should God care if we worship him or not if we are nothing compared to him?isn't he more superior than humans? Why should he care so much if we insignificant humans worship him?

thank you in advance

I just got a lovely long letter explaining why I was a "stupid emo Christian *****" and then blasphemy up a freaking wall from this guy.He basically read my myspace which says I am a Christian and went from there.I haven't done anything to this guy(eh,he goes to my school),and hes going to confront me if he sees me.Lovely. I'm only dreading it because every word that proceeds from his mouth is a raping of the English language.I'll try not let my friends hurt him too much. (angry overprotective atheists ftw....)Wonderful way to start the day huh?
Eh,enough ranting. How has your day been?

Hi JW's,
last night I posted a question. After my question went on the fritz...I could'nt add detail and just gave up and went to sleep very sad.
At the age of 18 I was inlove with another fellow brother from the English congregation. Months after we met he moved to Mexico to help an english congregation, we lost communication.
This was a long distance relationship as a result, this brother turned out to be a liar about many things.

He was very clever and very romantic but also a liar.

This was a very hard situation for me to get away from and ever since then I've been coping with feelings of lonliness and regret.
I've worked on moving on but out of the blue I have sad days when other day when I face even more problems.
Such as loneliness and isolation. I have been known to be very outgoing and friendly...but I don't feel that way...I feel that I hide my feelings very well.
What can I do to fill in a void?

Spirituality and Religion are learned even though there is some evidence that there are genes which make people yearn for a higher meaning. I think that family tradition plays the biggest role. I think that people with abusive childhoods might have a tendancy to be religious becasue of trying to find comfort since they were so unfairly treated. Those are two examples. What REALLY made you go the direction you did?

I believe in the lord, i believe God created us, for all those who have no religion or faith, or just flat out don't believe in God , then how do you explain how we came to live here on earth?....I am not the type to shove religion down peoples throats just trying to see others points of views.....how do you think we came to exist if you dont' believe in a higher power?..thanx

I'm speaking of these words as adjectives.

Originary is something so uniquely original that it did not derive from something else. The first instance of human langage is originary.

"The origin of language marks off a new stage in human evolution, the beginning of culture, including religion, art, desire, and the sacred. In addition, language makes possible new forms of social organization which are radically different from animal 'pecking order' hierarchies dominated by an alpha male. Because language is so radically different from animal communication systems, the central claim of Generative Anthropology maintains that its origin must have been a singular event..."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generative_Anthropology#The_Originary_Hypothesis

The first poem would be 'originary' - the first sonnet would be 'original'.

I think the distinction is interesting, but I can't find any good places online that clarify the distinction in every day terms.

John 12:31-32 "NOW IS the (loving) judgment of this world;
NOW shall the (evil) prince of this world be cast out.
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, (HE IS since AD30 !)
I (JESUS CHRIST) will DRAW ALL MEN (Humans!)
to MySelf !"

Since our One God-Man Creator Person Jesus Christ is Spirit Powerful to DRAW ALL Humans to Him, does that mean eventual or immediate universal salvation ?

Are the "many mansions" (higher mansion worlds -- our next higher Heavens, made by Jesus Christ) for our continued rehabilitation, at all similar to any of Catholic's better concepts of "purgatory" ?

Does this also mean that --

with Jesus, here fully in Spirit, (John 16:7-16) and telling us in our Spirit-led souls and minds to "Love your enemies."

--we will have all of our supposed "enemies" up in the next higher Heavens to have to learn how to love and work with in doing God's will ?

Pray and reflect on what Jesus really is telling us on this.

Q is for sincere Christians !

First, let's assume heaven

a) is sin free
b) allows free will
(I think most christians would agree with both of these)

Therefore, free will can't automatically lead to sin.

If God can create somewhere which allows total free will but still prevents people sinning, why didn't he make earth like that?

Deuteronomy 30:19
This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live

How can you say, with this scripture that God would not want us to be pro-life?

The original techning of the bible is that he doesnt. People who are seperated legaly (divorced) are not divorced spititualy and as such cant remarry or would be in a perpetual state of adultery and Sin.

I never thought of that because I have family who have divorced and remarried.

How does that work in the Catholic Church if someone is Married originaly there and divorced for whatever reason, marries outside the church and returns.

From my understanding they would never be able to take communion with Christ. But would they be in a perpetual state or mortal sin - how does that work.

Like for example during the WWII even if one was a Christian or Catholic, but was found to have Jewish grandparents they were sent to concentration camps.
Today, Jews were given a country in the middle of haters of Jews; Arabs (Israel was established by the brilliant minds of the NATO + Allies). So why give the Jews a country of there own when no other religion has a country of its own?

start looking for a house. I work from home & take care of her. At first I wanted to only work part time (which means staying in this tiny apartment or buying a 2 bedroom home). We really could use a 3 bedroom place. We prayed & decided that I would continue working full-time and we would get a 3 bedroom place. We thought it would be possible because we have a really good baby who loves playing alone. Plus, I don't always have work to do. Some days I get paid for nothing. Just Sunday I prayed and got rid of bitterness I had for years.I felt great. Monday it was as if Satan struck me over the head. I started feeling guilty about past. I worked it out w/ husband (nothing like adultery or anything, just some lines I had crossed while dating which he already knew about anyway). Now more confusion. My depression is coming back-called nurse to up MG and she asked me if I get time alone & that got me thinking "we shouldn't get a house" I'm so confused. Satan trying to mess w/me or God?

I doubt He said it just do not eat this because he wanted us to live without pork. There had to be a reason. What are your thoughts?

I think Atheists should stop attacking Christians. After all they are not trying to convert anyone for quite some time now; they don’t criticize anyone anymore, they are not declaring Crusades anymore and not trying to control our society…

And most importantly they’re not burning anyone on fire to the steak anymore, so lay off!!!

If not, why not?

Psalm 14.1 "The fool has said in his heart, there is no God."

Does that offer a true and accurate description of atheists, or does it apply to something else?
