thats a good question.
well i thnk he shoudl care bc worshipin him shows that we are devoted to him and that we are really trying to be with him in heaven. lets use this as an example, when a women has a baby, she imediatly has an attachment towards the baby. God created us, isnt that the same thing. God wants us all to to make it to heaven, and if worshiping him does that, well then i thnk he would be quite happy.

I've had these same questions. I came to the conclusion that the God I've been taught about is egotistical, maniacal, petty, narcissistic and the list could go on. I refused to worship a God like this. I refused to let fear be my motivating factor in worshiping a God.
I'm open to the possibility of there being some sort of divine energy. If there is, we as humans are only a small part, but we are connected. I was watching Carl Sagan's Cosmos series. There is an episode about the birth and death of starts. When stars die, they sluff off large amounts of atoms. These atoms go out into the universe and become parts of other stars, other solar systems, other planets, life. We are, as Sagan says, star stuff. This connects us to the universe. It is so magical to me. Much more so than a vengeful God.
I guess this would make me pantheistic. Which means that a person sees life, natural and physical laws as being in a sense, divine.

O, you sweet child...
God loves us. Dearly. When we "worship" Him, we aren't simply honoring Him, we are building a relationship with Him. Praying is our way of communicating with Him. God wants us to know Him.
When you pray to God with a loving, seeking, sincere heart--regardless of your religion--He hears you.
Try not to be confused about things of God. All the religions have some things in common. Some make a big deal out of lesser things without focusing on the important things.
If you really want to find the right religion for you, pray to God and ask Him to direct you to the path He wants you to take. You will feel a still, small voice whisper to you in your mind...you will feel a "rightness" in your heart.
You can develop a close relationship with God whether you go to church or not.
Hope and blessings to you. :)

God wants to be our heavenly Father. He desires that we receive a heart like His. He wants to share His divine nature.
Often, churches or religions are led by man's wisdom and not by the wisdom that comes from God. Seek Jesus Christ first, with all of your heart, and He will reveal Himself to you personally.
His Word will open up to you as you allow His Spirit to guide you. Some chapters and verses that you should read are: Hebrews 2; Hebrews 4:14-16; II Peter 1:3,4; and the book of St. John.
God doesn't want you to be confused, so seek Him with a humble heart and don't allow anything or anyone to make you doubt His Love. Be patient and don't expect to understand everything right away. God will give you what you need as you need it.

Its like this, Its not God's will that any should parrish. We are by no means insignificant. We were created to worship God, but also given the choice of free will. Just like having children, you can only do so much for them, they have to make good choices on their own. Hope this helps!

All religion is man made except for the Jewish religion that was for God's chosen people the Israelites. That religion was about laws to protect His people and to show us that sin is disobedience and rebellion against God.
Jesus is not a religion. Jesus is a personal relationship of love freedom and grace. God wants our love and worship because He predestined all of us to be His children. Some are not because they don't want to be.
All who choose Jesus Christ as their Lord and their Savior, are God's adopted children. God never interferes with the lives of those who do not want Him. However, with those who do, we have a personal relationship with Him, because of His Son Jesus. We can go to Him for all of our needs and praise Him because we love Him and He loves us.
God is alive. Notice as you read His written Word, the Bible that He has feelings and emotions. He is our Heavenly Father and our worship to Him is the way that we live our lives through love and obedience to Him and the way that we love and treat others.
We are so significant to God that He sent His only begotten Son to the earth to die for our sins, instead of us. May God bless you as you search to know Him and His Son, Jesus.

The way I am taught,
I believe ALL things were created by God. And in the beginning they were all good.
We as a being were created by God separate from all the rest of creation for the soul purpose of personal relationship with God. He could walk and talk with us and vise versa, for eternity.
Because we didn't obey his only rule for us(as our creator). We lost that relationship level we had with him. And now our world and our relationship is corrupted with/by sin.
He provided a solution for that relationship problem in his son Jesus Christ.\
We should care about our relationship because He is our Creator and asks us to, and one day we will meet Him again
to resume the kind of relationship man kind once had.

I think if God wants us to be closer to Him he wants to try to grow spiritually, by treating others the way we would like to be treated. A parent or teacher wants the child to try to follow what they teach, but doesn't expect us to not make mistakes.
Spiritually and religion is constantly evolving as humanity evolves. Oranized religions may not acknowlege this but it is true.
I think God cares about this, not really about worshiping him, unless the proof of worship is by listening to Him and trying to do his will. I listen to my mother, show gratitude and try to follow her wishes. I think this shows respect, but I would not define that as worship.
Faith without works is dead.

Classic question, Angie. I have no answers for you, only more questions:
Does religion exist to uplift man or to praise God (who is beyond all human praise anyway)?
Why is the majority so obsessed with the means, and so little with the goal?
If all paths lead to the same God, why so much conflict between the followers?
Why must we hate one God to love another?
And lastly, why did God create the universe? What grand design did he have?
Sorry, Angie, for intruding into your space. But those answering this question please throw light on my queries too. (Alternatively, you could message me, so that this thread is not disturbed.)

Here's a question for you, and once you answer it, you'll have an answer to your own question. Where, in the Bible, does God say that everyone HAS to worship Him? In Exodus, when Moses is asking the Pharoah to let the slaves go free, he says that God said to release the slaves so that they MAY worship Him.
This implies that they had a choice. As do we all.
But once we believe in God, and we accept what He has done for us, we WILL worship Him.
I hope this helps.
