There are those who believe in heaven and hell, and that after you die, you will go to either based on your behavior during your lifetime. Then there are those who believe in reincarnation, or that death truly is the end.

What would your reaction be if what happens after you die turns out to be the exact opposite of what you believed while alive?

For Christians, what if there is no heaven or hell and you get reincarnated as a hippo?

For non-believers, what would your reaction be if you came face-to-face with God?

I'm just curious, points will go to the most thoughtful answer (unless your spelling sucks lol).

Don't you think saying the pledge of allegiance should be banned, or at least be made optional? What about atheist kids (like me) who really don't want to pledge to the country that supposedly is under 'god'? just wondering who agrees....

It is important to understand that Jesus is simply not a part of Judaism. He is irrelevant to our religion. To ask a Jew, "why don't you believe in Jesus?" is like asking a Christian, "why don't you believe in Zeus?"

In your religious institutions, you study your own religion; you don't study every other religion in the world and explain why they're wrong. We do the same. We don't study why we don't believe in Jesus, because he's simply not a part of our religion.

The first thing you need to understand is, we do not believe in the Christian "New Testament." It's not part of our Bible.

So when you meet a Jew please do not offend him and ask him about Jesus?

God knows what each and every person is thinking so is it really necessary to say prayers (by an individual) out loud?

... the central tenet of Christianity is a belief in Jesus as the Son of God and the path to Heaven. Yet, Judaism explicitly rejects the notion of Jesus as the Son of God/messiah and it was, in fact, Jews that sentenced Jesus to die on the cross.

I'm *not* anti-semitic. In fact, my question has nothing to do with my feelings for or against either group. This just confuses me.

... that accepts the fact that everyone has to have their own beliefs, and nobody is stupid for believing / belonging to a religion / not being religious? I'm tired of insults and i dont understand why people have to be so agressive (is it the fact that we are all annonymous here?) I dont really care what you believe in, and i am sure it fits you and i will never call you names for being different than me. If there are people who think the same way, i'd love to hear their opinions

Given the needed phenomena and implications of the Theory of Evolution, would you say that it attacks the foundations of Christianity? If you think it does, please list which Christian concepts evolution challenges and how. If you think it doesn't, explain how the idea evolution and the ideas Christianity could possibly coexist in harmony.

I have not given my stance on this issue, so please do not waste space by ridiculing my question. Inquisition is one way by which one may attain knowledge that he does not already have. Care to share what you know?

Today we know for sure that Jew had killed the Jesus and they crucified him on purpose and still no Jew is repenting or has ever repent? There stubborn believes are evident from there adherence to there religion!! They now know for sure that the one they had crucified was the one they had been anticipating for decades.
When Christian world know that Jew are the one merciless so why in the world they respect them and not abhor them, why is that they are still appraised by the Christians? Are the Christians pusillanimous? Or are they so crippled in there beliefs that they are not even sure of whether there is a GOD or a Heaven/Hell? WHY ... ?

if you think about they are very similar - the gods live in the sky, the way things are have to do with religion (like the adams apple or pandoras box), gods come down to earth every once in awhile - so why is christianity true because your parents and a stranger at a church told you so? and the answer isnt faith because if you didnt have christian parents you wouldnt even believe in god. sorry if i offended anyone im just wondering what you have to say

They did not endure, the people would not believe them or Jesus, but Jesus must finish the works that His Father who art in heaven gave Him to finish, as I must finish the work Jesus gave me to finish. I will not comit adultery or fornication, and I will continue to preach the Word of God to the Non-believers

I say it is because you all are in Misery. And you all need to take it out on Christians. Hence, Misery lives company.

starting Dec 21, 2008 is supposed to be the rapture mentioned in the bible. i heard that there will be an earthshattering eathquake, which many people will die. but, i'm confused. why does everything i read about regarding the rapture point to this date? how do people know about it? doesnt it say in the bible that no one will know the exact date and that it will just happen? if anyone could explain things to me in a Christian perspective i would really appreciate it.

who aren't and who are being rude, mean spirited, cursing, etc. etc. I just want you to know that the majority of Christians would not do that so please don't form your opinion of Christians based on remarks from people who are doing that.
