They did not endure, the people would not believe them or Jesus, but Jesus must finish the works that His Father who art in heaven gave Him to finish, as I must finish the work Jesus gave me to finish. I will not comit adultery or fornication, and I will continue to preach the Word of God to the Non-believers

Repent and believe in the Gospel, the 4 Gospel and Revelation, these are the true Word of God, Jesus Himself will lead you to Daniel, and the Word of God will lead you to the absolute truth in the Old Testament.

Peace be with you and the truth shall make you free

Jesus gave us all work to do, we are to share all that God the Father who art in heaven gave to us, including His Word.

I come to this site because you ask to hear the Word, but you do not seem to care who's words you listen to and follow. But you asked the questions, and I gave you the truth, not my truth but the Father, who art is heaven truth, the same Words He gave unto His Son. I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, and as a disciple I follow all of His teachings. I am not great nor do pretend to be great, you do not even know my name, I am but a servant and messenger the same as you.

If you are asking if you will personally go upon the "hero's journey" in a personal quest for wisdom, the answer is not only "Yes", but also that it has already begun.

It began the first time you seriously asked the question, "Why?".

The mythological adventure stories you cite all began with the birth of the hero, some mention of his youth and then the tale of his adult adventures at trying to bring the "truth" he found to the people of his community or society.
The stories and Moses and Jesus both tell a little of the journey each went on to find their individual truth (i.e., Moses and his exile from Egypt, the people who assisted him in Median, the burning bush and the encounter with the transcendent; Jesus with his forty day fast, his encounter with Satan and conquering the illusions and false promises of earthy glory and then his brief ministry which failed.)

These are all very similar to the stories of all hero's from all cultures and societies. They were obviously stylized after the tales of hero's from the surrounding cultures, just as the stories of creation, the great flood and the tower of Babylon were taken from the Mesopitainian culture and the story of Gilgamesh. The stories of Jesus are very similare to many Greek sagas, especially that of the labor of Hercules.

For more information on these stories and the common mythologies that they share, you might want to read the works of Joseph Campbell.

If you actually believe that a god has spoken to you and given you a mission, you might want to get a good medical check up. Then get a good psychological evaluation. Siezures and certain psychotic / mental illnesses can cause one to hear voices, see bright lights and experience the feelings of contact with a "supreme being". Most are treatable. However, depending upon how you are carying out your "mission" you might be posing a threat to yourself and others, especially with you "messiahanic complex".

Good luck and may it all be well with you.

Well, you certainly put yourself in good company, but I doubt anyone who compares themselves to such is truly close to God....
sounds like your just a little bit full of yourself?

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

They also knew when to respect boundaries and when other people would not change.

Jesus told his disciples not to go where they are unwelcome.

Moses tried to reason with Korach but stopped when he realized it would not work.

Isaiah warned his people, but in the end resigened to the inevitable.

Isn't this a question that you would like for God to answer? Whatever you do, you must remember that Jesus's sacrifice was all about forgiveness. If God can forgive you anything, surely you can forgive yourself and strive to be better for him.
