I'm not sure this is so much rude as it is a genuine question...and a question that only a Jewish person can answer. I certainly wouldn't consider it rude if you asked why I didn't believe in Zeus and, assuming it was a genuine question (not asked in order to ridicule or manipulate me), I would certainly be willing, even eager to answer it. The way I understand it, being a Jew isn't just racial, I could choose to convert to Judaism...if you believe your religion is the only way to have true fellowship with God, doesn't your own conscience demand that you share the truth with me, especially when I ask you directly???
This is a question I'll admit to pondering all the time. My son attends a Jewish school so I have a lot of Jewish friends...and while I have never asked one of them this question, I have always been curious to know why, Jesus, a Jew, who claimed to be the Messiah was rejected by so many of his own people. Given that we have the Old Testament in common, why do I accept Jesus as the fulfillment of prophecy and you don't.
Perhaps it comes across as rude if a Christian suggests that you are wrong, but is it really rude for someone to ask this question because they genuinely want to understand the division in the Jewish population created by Jesus? After all, the disciples and most of the early "Christians" were all Jews...

Not all the gospels were written by Jews. Luke was a gentile. The early Christians were not pagans who worshipped Jesus. The trinity was not made up yet. There were many false messiahs, so the early Christians were no different than any other gullible Jew who fell for the false messiahs claims. Christians are mostly pagans now, so if a Jew believes Jesus he is also a pagan. Jesus has nothing to do with Judaism, just like Buddha has nothing to do with Christianity. To believe Jesus is the messiah is to reject G-d since G-d made it clear in the Tanakh(old testament) who the messiah is and what he will do. Jesus did nothing, infact he dousnt even come close to fitting the description of the messiah. It even says in the gospel that Jesus broke the sabbath, insulted his mother and let a woman touch his legs. Pretty obvious he is not the messiah.

Because Jesus did not fit the description of the Messiah
The Sanhedrin will be re-established (Isaiah 1:26)
Once he is King, leaders of other nations will look to him for guidance. (Isaiah 2:4)
The whole world will worship the One God of Israel (Isaiah 2:17)
He will be descended from King David (Isaiah 11:1) via King Solomon (1 Chron. 22:8-10)
The Moshiach will be a man of this world, an observant Jew with "fear of God" (Isaiah 11:2)
Evil and tyranny will not be able to stand before his leadership (Isaiah 11:4)
Knowledge of God will fill the world (Isaiah 11:9)
He will include and attract people from all cultures and nations (Isaiah 11:10)
All Israelites will be returned to their homeland (Isaiah 11:12)
Death will be swallowed up forever (Isaiah 25:8)
There will be no more hunger or illness, and death will cease (Isaiah 25:8)
All of the dead will rise again (Isaiah 26:19)
The Jewish people will experience eternal joy and gladness (Isaiah 51:11)
He will be a messenger of peace (Isaiah 52:7)
Nations will end up recognizing the wrongs they did to Israel (Isaiah 52:13-53:5)
The peoples of the world will turn to the Jews for spiritual guidance (Zechariah 8:23)
The ruined cities of Israel will be restored (Ezekiel 16:55)
Weapons of war will be destroyed (Ezekiel 39:9)
The Temple will be rebuilt (Ezekiel 40) resuming many of the suspended mitzvot
He will then perfect the entire world to serve God together (Zephaniah 3:9)
Jews will know the Torah without Study (Jeremiah 31:33)
He will give you all the desires of your heart (Psalms 37:4)
He will take the barren land and make it abundant and fruitful (Isaiah 51:3, Amos 9:13-15, Ezekiel 36:29-30, Isaiah 11:6-9)

I don't think asking a simple question like that could be an offense. i mean it is just a question, and there is nothing meant by it. so if someone asked you why you didn't believe in Jesus, all you would need to say is what you've said here "He's just not a part of our religion" people are naturally curious about things they aren't acustomed to, so we ask questions.

Of course. Jesus is not part of the Jewish faith, just as Muhammed is not part of the Christian or Jewish faiths. Other than that, the cast of character is pretty much the same among the three faiths.

I agree it's very rude for Christians to tell Jews about Jesus. It's basically them saying they know more about Jewish prophecies than actual Rabbis. The fact is that Jesus did not fulfill Messianic prophecies.

I TOTALLY agree, it's so rude of Christians to be so pushy. I've never heard of a Jew proselytizing, but they will answer questions if one asks. I've never heard of one serving his/her religion on a platter to everyone. Christians should look to Jews in this manner as an example.

Surely they want no part of anything after Moses.
So you just proved that.. of course they will only burn in the fire for a day or two...OF COURSE THEY KNOW THAT WHOM IN WHICH WILL DECIDE THAT OF COURSE ITS THEM ALL THE WHOLE TIME WHO DECIDES WHO WILL BE IN HEAVEN AND HELL OF COURSE IT WAS THE MOST IGNORANT PROPHET OF OUR TIME MOSES MAY HE COULD HAVE BARED GREATER PATIENCE WE WOULD HAVE LEARNED ALLOT MORE!
Ask yourself where they got all that gold to make the Calf they worshiped surely Farrow littered all their sons, and took all their riches away, it was only at the very dimmest lights they where able to go free after all fitna atrocities against themselves they finally where granted leave by Farrow and Ultimately because Moses kept his stand with them!

I think we've lost respect for other people and what they believe.
We are individuals and so we're not going to think, believe, like the same things.
That's what makes us unique.
