LOL, they're not going to help you much. You've just started committing the ultimate sin, girl, .... thinking. That's a no-no, don't ya know. It's allll about having Faith... you know, that's blind trusting belief in everything other people tell you, because somebody told them when they were growing up, and the people who told them were told by somebody else, and so on and on and on, back generation by generation into the misty fog of time.

That's, incidentally, how those incredible superstitions have followed humanity through the centuries, being passed along from parents to children, and reflected in society through the generations. I've broken a slew of mirrors in my life, walked under ladders, stepped on cracks in the sidewalk, spilled I couldn't tell ya how much salt, and owned several wonderful black cats. And in over 30 years of marriage, the only "bad" thing ever happened to either me or my husband on Friday 13th was a few years back when he got a speeding ticket, dashing into town to the post office on that fateful day.

There are still a whole lot of people around who believe in all that amusing stuff, too, they just don't have the slightest knowledge of how any of it ever got started. Never mind, Humanity really is on a learning curve, and as a species, we are getting more intelligent with passing time. It's just that our tiny span of life is so short in the scheme of things, that we can't ever get a clear view of that bigger picture. My bet is that even as soon as the end of this century, kids will open their school books and watch t.v. shows about the way people were back at the beginning of the New Millennium, and their jaws will be down on their laps in amazement wondering how the heck "those people" back then could ever have thought this or believed that.

You know what, I have atheist friends as well. In the bible it says time and time again that people will make fun of and challenge Christian beliefs. Many people here state that they are atheists and it is the logical choice. But if you really are Christian have faith in Christ and our Heavenly Father. You know what the real logical choice is. Instead of having your friends influence you, why don't you influence them? Spread the word of God. Being a child of God and spending eternity in Heaven is loads better than being an atheist and spending eternity in Hell. NOTE: those atheists who say that their religion is better, they should first note that they have no religion, being atheistic means that they don't believe in any one person having absolute authority and have no religion. Just note the prefix a-. God Bless. Also, don't think I am just saying this. It says in the bible that people who spread the wrong message will be punished more severely.

Here maybe this will put you over the top. Works for me anyway.

Humanism is a philosophy of life inspired by humanity and guided by reason. It provides the basis for a fulfilling and ethical life without religion.

Humanists make sense of the world using reason, experience and shared human values.
Humanists see no convincing evidence for gods, the supernatural, or life after death.
Humanists believe that moral values are properly founded on human empathy and scientific understanding.
Humanists believe we must live this life on the basis that it is the only life we'll have -- that, therefore, we must make the most of it for ourselves, each other, and our world.
Humanist philosophies have arisen separately in many different cultures over many thousands of years. Whether or not they use the term humanism, tens of millions of Americans and hundreds of millions of people around the world agree with the humanist philosophy of living a happy and productive life based on reason and compassion.

sometimes I feel like I'm being watched , but that doesn't make me necessarily make me crazy , it's a good indicater but often times when you're concerned that your sliding into insanity you're wrong, the fact that you're coherent enough to think it ,precludes it.... An atheist ? I think not....!

It's really simple, if you don't want your views changed, then ignore them. Otherwise, just go with it and let them change your views. It's your choice.

If you're a true Christian, then no one should shake your faith. Don't mind these damn atheists answering your question, unless you're already one yourself...
