I was raised to be a christian, but as a teen and twenty something I back slid. Now at 30 something there have been times I wanted to be saved and asked for God's forgiveness, and really meant it. Do you not feel different once saved? Is there no kind of sign? I do not expect a burning bush or anything, but I do sort of expect to feel differently. I now have small children and want to bring them up the right way. Please do not be too harsh as I asked a earlier question in this catergory and received some harsh remarks.

my boyfriend is in the army and im worried about him going to war. i feel bad for wanting to pray now that he is in the army i should have prayed before then. its hard to stay positve i don't have a gut feeling that he's going to die, it's just hard to think he'll come back alive when everyday i see a solider that has been killed. i know i should stop watching the news but i watch like an idiot to see if the bad guys have given up, that way he wont have to go. so what prayers should i pray for him and everyone else who is at war.

my stepdad says that it doesn't say homosexuality is a sin in the bible....and then he says even if it did it wouldnt matter because the bible was inspired by god but written through man and man is a uclean vessel so you can't believe everything its says.....what do you all say?....Please excercise maturity

My husband has been told by some other Muslim men that he's praying wrong. Actually, it's just one Muslim man and he's not trustworthy. I kept telling him that he's doing it right but he'd like further advice from others. So, Muslims, can you please say exactly what to say in Arabic and how many Rakats for each prayer? My step sister told me it's "2, 4, 4, 3, 4". So please, help me out here. I may be knowledgable, but I'm no scholar.

Why is it, myself being from a different faith, I question the ethics of your "God" and your "holy words," you find it insulting, but I am not to be INSULTED by your judging, criticizing and degragations. For centuries your ancestors in faith injured, tortured, and killed MILLIONS of those who will not believe as you do while preaching a schizophrenic lifestyle ? Whats your take on christians and other people who are ignorant of your religion when they say things like the following..

"Pagans and or wiccans are devil worshipers"

"its a mythological religion"

" they are possesed by the devil"

(I myself do not have these views but I have seen people post similar things to the above on here and other places)
