At the end of the last book, Potter ends up knowingly sacrificing his life to save others, dies (sort of), comes back to life, and ends up defeating evil.

Did anyone else see this as sort of vaguely similar to the Jesus stories?

After reading it, I wondered if maybe Rowling decided to take one last big jab at the fundamentalists by equating Harry Potter with Jesus in an allegorical sense.

How to remove a curse?
I recently got really sick, and I am so healthy usually. I went to 15 doctors, all of my tests showed up normal and antibiotics and other medicines havent worked and even natural remedies, have not. My parents suggested that someone has cursed me, and I can somewhat recall an episode in my life and the time where my bad luck started. Does anyone know who removes these curses? Is it a witch? Where do I find them?

How many fibers are in our beings, by the way?

I took some fiber into my being today when I ate a bran muffin.

Disclaimer: This question is not meant to offend, but merely to point out a humorous anecdote in the way many LDS people testify at the pulpit.

and if necessary what are some bad things? i think god may be leading me in the direction of a Christian college but I'm definitely keeping in mind that there could be some things that have always bothered me about Christian politics there. I'm just wondering if you go to a Christian college, or you want to, what do you like about the environment. and what don't you like about it?

"The big bang theory holds that the universe began with a single explosion. Yet as can be seen, an explosion merely throws matter apart, while the big bang has mysteriously produced the opposite effect with matter clumping together forming galaxies"
Fred Hoyle,the intelligent universe
London, 1984, p. 184-185
Explosions don't bring about order however a perfect order arose after the big bang
What do you think?

I mean, the flu virus doesn't evolve every year, right. God creates a new virus every year that is resistant to the last vaccine. Why does he do that? Why does he make it look like evolution can be directly observed? Is it because he knows that humans made up a term called "micro evolution", even though educated people on science know that there is no mechanism difference in micro and macro evolution, just time differences? And that the definition of "macro evolution" is meant to be vague so as to confuse people who are ignorant?

The bible is filled with all sorts of stuff. Prostitutes, murders, wars....Why is it that most christian musicians ignore the seedy, bad parts of life? Are there any artists that i'm forgetting about? Only one I can think of is Johnny Cash- and he wasn't really categorised as a christian artist at all.

I don't think they should...it always almost ends up in bloodshed...

To explain my point religion does more bad than good (all abrahamic ones do anyway)...

Look at several African countries in Africa: almost so far I think relgion has claimed several million lives.

Throughout history religion has killed billions in total...

Look at the fights between:

Jews & Christians
Muslims & Christians
Jews & Muslims

The wastful times trying to exterminate each other: The Crusades...where no mercy was given to women and children.

In America Christians in politics (the extremely Christian) happen to want to start or inflict fear in people by exclaiming that the "apocalypse in coming because their goverment is poorly equiped in the right moral way"... etc...etc...and all the rest of that balderdash...pish posh...

Don't get me wrong I do believe in a higher power but not from the abrahamic faiths perspective...or any other for that matter...

So is it rightly justified?
