The bible is filled with all sorts of stuff. Prostitutes, murders, wars....Why is it that most christian musicians ignore the seedy, bad parts of life? Are there any artists that i'm forgetting about? Only one I can think of is Johnny Cash- and he wasn't really categorised as a christian artist at all.

Because the so-called Christian music labels won't accept anything that isn't tame, because only the super tame stuff has sold well in the history of CCM.

I like Jars of Clay and DC Talk. But it's mostly Christian stations that are the outlet for Christian music, and they like the Christian_lite stuff

I don't think you can make the lyrics to Cannibal Corpse (similar to the bible) tame. So they usually go with the happy-go-lucky-feel-good stuff.
