it's bittersweet, but "I think we're alone now" takes me back to the skating rink and all those gradeschool crushes.

"I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues" by Elton John always makes me think of a snowy day in high school when I was driving around and feeling extremely content. The *meaning* of the song has nothing to do with it, it's just that that's what was playing on the radio at that particular time.

My life is always great, even when it's not so great. But the song that reminds me most is an old Janet Jackson song that isn't on any of her albums. I think it's called "The Feeling Goes On..." It's got a great summertime cruising along the ocean highway vibe to it, and it always brings a smile to my face. Thanks for the nostalgia.
Oh, what a feeling,
Got me smiling
As I'm thinkin, bout ya
Oh, got the top down,
Sun is beamin
And I'm dreamin, bout ya,
Never, will I stop this love
that I feel
I hope you feel the same
bout me, every day...
I will, always be right here
by your side
I don't want nobody else
and this feeling goes on and on and on and on and on...
Classic Janet, you gotta love it.

You're a top contributor now? Congrats!
There are so many, but one that comes to mind is "Night Swimming" by R.E.M. It's a song my wife and I used to listen to right after we met some 15 years ago (she was 19, I was 23).
Another is "All These Things That I've Done" by The Killers. Last year, when my two-year-old daughter was in the hospital (a 3 month-long stay), my wife, my two daughters, and I found ourselves dancing around the hospital room to this song. It was as if all of us were saying, "I know this is a tough time, but we're going to make it."
What is yours?

I have a few for different times. "If you could read my mind" by Gordon Lightfoot and "In my life" by the Beatles remind me of when I was a little girl. I used to sit on my Dad's lap and he would sing them to me.
"Happy together by the Turtles is my song with my Hubby and always makes me happy.
"I just called to say I love you" and "To Know him is to love him" remind me of my little boy. I sing them to him every night before he goes to sleep . They always make him break into a huge smile and have done so since he was a tiny baby.
What's yours?

"Don't You Forget About Me" by Simple Minds. Reminds me of being 17 and in love for the first time. Doesn't get any better than that.

In thinking about your question, I realized how many songs remind me of hard times. Woman troubles mostly.
To answer your question, I never tired of the unique joy of the song, "don't worry...be happy"
