dont feel bad a lot of people pray when they feel they need too. In your case its going to be natural for you to have more worries, but faith along with prayer helps, try reading Hebrews it talks a lot about faith. Each person prays differently and there is no right way, but dont give up on prayer once things start going ok, praise can go a long way too, just take some time out each day to give Him praise, that you woke up, that u were able to speak to your boyfriend that you were able to spend the time that u did if heaven forbids the Lord does take him, and go to church its a big comfort. Good luck to you and many blessings for the both of you.

Sorry to be the bad news bearer but there is a quote..."The hard work of one man does more than the prayers of millions."
-What I'm saying is trust your gut feeling. It's usually always right. I'm sorry that you are going through this, I can only imagine how hard it must be. And if our central government would turn towards peace instead of violence for our own resources, these worries and fears wouldn't need to take place.
-With Best Wishes,
Boxer

O God, I beseech You,
watch over those exposed to the horror of war,
and the spiritual dangers of a soldier's or sailor's life.
Give them such a strong faith
that no human respect may ever lead them to deny it,
nor fear ever to practice it.
By Your grace, O God,
fortify them against the contagion of bad example,
that being preserved from vice,
and serving You faithfully,
they may be ready to meet you face to face
when they are so called:
through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Sacred Heart!
Inspire them with sorrow for sin,
and grant them pardon.
Mother of God!
Be with them on the battlefield during life
and at the hour of death,
and grant that they may live and die
in the grace of thy Son.
Amen.
St. Joseph!
Pray for them.
May their Guardian Angel protect them.
Amen.

Pray that God's Will be done in your boyfriend and your life. Begin to seek God and get a relationship with Him for yourself. Don't settle until you have truly reached Him. God will show Himself to you. Read Acts 2 and what happened when the disciples sought God.

Mat 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Mat 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven.
Mat 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.
Mat 6:12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Mat 6:13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Mat 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Mat 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

It is ok to pray at any time...or to start at any time.
Open the conversation...just come from the heart.
