Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Would be be recognized on this forum as a peacemaker?

Deanr610...This verse stands alone as a part of the Beatittudes. It is not taken out of context. Either you are a peacemaker or you are not.

mennetta c, A wonderful testimony and may God bless you. The point is that we are all searching. None of us knows the truth in full. We are all lost sheep and we all have the same hope. Some of us have come to the point where we realize that and some have not. I believe that is why we need to be peacemakers. While being a peacemaker does not mean we compromise our standards, it does mean that we understand that our position in this world is common to all of mankind.

I am a child of God... but I don't know if others would call me that. My Q&A are not private, so you can make up your own mind as to whether or not I could be called a peacemaker, aka child of God, in regards to this forum.

Its hard to be a peacemaker in this forum. The regulars are obviously here to either debate or force feed, and others are here to ask questions (and serve as fresh meat for the regulars).

I guess I'm sort of in between so I wouldn't say I make peace but I don't prevent it either. :)

Yes, I Surely am A Born-again Child of God. I had my "Second and Most Important Birthday" Sept 26th. I966.......I am a Peace-maker at heart , until I Have to Listen to Nonsense from a Lost Soul, and UN-believer, who seems to be proud of It......Then my heart Grieves. After all, My passion is Soul Winning>>>>Has been for 40 Years. I Have to remember How Jesus Warned Us That WE WOULD BE HATED FOR HIS NAME'S SAKE. And it is O.K. To have a Righteous Anger about Evil things or Do'ers. Then Pray For Them!! I Just can't understand people who Honestly want to go to Hell...Sometimes I don't think They mean it, and are still Searching . I surely Hope so.

You need to learn what Jesus meant when He spoke of "peace". It wasn't just an empty phrase. It was peace with one another for those who have found peace in God.

Jer 6:14-15
14 They dress the wound of my people
as though it were not serious.
'Peace, peace,' they say,
when there is no peace.
15 Are they ashamed of their loathsome conduct?
No, they have no shame at all;
they do not even know how to blush.
So they will fall among the fallen;
they will be brought down when I punish them,"
says the LORD.

For one: You miss the reason fr Matthew 5. Matthew 5 told us that we are all guilty of sin and need Jesus to provide us with peace with God.

Jesus said this:
John 3
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

Belief in Jesus makes us saved. Not how well we perform in all the commandments. What God's Spirit does is teach us to grow in the way that God wants us to be as we trust him.

That's as peaceful as I can be about this. So there you go!

I believe I am a child of God and He has sent me here. He has given me an earthly home with great parents.

I hope that God as my Father in Heaven will lead and guide me and help me find my way to live with Him again.

In Hebrew they tell me, lol, that son means prodgeny of any generation, son grandson, daughter, grand father in the other direction. Say, if you give a thumbs up, is that being judgmental.
