Are you referring to religious or cultural beliefs? Or belief, in general? Most of the time, when a question of belief is asked, if refers to one's cultural or religious belief system.

Every person has a set of beliefs which will have some influence in major decisions. Some are more grounded in reality than others but even those seemingly without a popular belief system, are guided by their own beliefs whether it is conscious or not.

With that said, my personal beliefs, although not based in religion, definitely determine my criteria for a man I'll be intimate with (with any regularity).


First, he must be sane. If he is delusional or dishonest with himself then he's probably not going to be around me in the first place. Or at least not for very long.

Honesty, trebled with compassion and understanding is also high on my list. It is an honourable man I am attracted to.

After all that, someone with a strong sense of humour & wit.

Being tall, lean and handsome and fantastic in bed definitely does it for me ;-)

He's got to be a match for me.

This most important quality to me is that he is a Christian who lives his life for Christ. His beliefs are extremely important to me because it will affect our relationship in decisions such as marriage, having kids, how to raise them, finances, etc. I truly believe that if a man is living for God then the rest of the qualities, such as trust and honesty, will just naturally fall into place. I'm excited for the day when God brings me my future husband. =)

An intelligent man with a sense of humor and one who is kind...my husband and I had similar beliefs but now we have both changed and do not have the same beliefs...so that is a pointless thing to look for in a potential mate...
