I have looked this up twice, and found it twice. Unfortunately, it doesn't show up when I use search engines and the like. It's in the New Testament. Corinthians, maybe?

The gist is that "church" means congregation, and although it is helpful and strongly encouraged, it isn't a requisite to getting into Heaven.

Christians like to brush off the horrible things found in the OT by saying that Christians live by the NT. Well put that aside and soley focus on what kind of God you're worshipping! The God of the OT and the NT is still the same God! In the OT God murdered, approved slavery, was a sexist, and etc...how do you justify those horrible things God did back then? To kill a first born child who God Himself put in a woman's womb is purely sadistic! Innocent children were murdered by your loving God! Women were oppressed, they had to be silent in church! Were women more sinful then men? God approved of masters beating their slaves!

The point is, I don't care if you live by the old or new testament! The fact is that your God is a sadistic, unethical, cruel, and ruthless God! If you think differently, please elaborate. I really would like to know what kind of context would make those evil verses right.

We can't do everything....I mean becoming an actor, being a simple down to earth person, doing 4000 push ups a day, I mean life is endless.....but if they'res a pre-defined goal, absolutely necessary, of any kind....is it possible we could not acheive it?

What I'm getting at is highlight the power of mind, and how it knows no boundaries.....

... after all, even with mountains of evidence for things like Evolution, its still wrong...

And yet, science has managed to discover a way to levitate small objects.

Remember, if science was wrong, you wouldn't have that computer you're using right now because it wouldn't work.

Stupid = characterized by or proceeding from mental dullness; foolish; senseless
Stupidity = a poor ability to understand or to profit from experience

Seriously, I always considered it natural for humans to always think and use the scientific process. I think it is, which would mean that stupidity is unnatural. So what is the source?

Since the beginning of known history, Religion in nearly all its forms, has cost an incalculable number of human lives over time. If almost all religions claim spirituality and goodness and triumph over evil, doesn't it seem odd that so much pain can come from something that is supposed to be inherently good? Human fault may be to blame, and probably is in most cases, but what IF there is something more complex to it all. Evil is enticing in all its forms, Lucifer is said to be the most beautiful and God's favorite angel. There is no doubt that he is clever. Confusion and chaos, anarchy, these are his tools. Nothing creates more personal, or societal, confusion than religion. Coincidence? You tell me...

I have been a Christian all my life but some actions within the church made me question my church so now I seek understanding of God and Jesus. I have recently purchased a book on the Kabbalah and have come to an understanding that to there belief God is not just a being, correct me if I'm wrong please, but an entity that is of all things. All things are of God. Now I'm confused about Jesus. He calls himself son of God, which I do believe is true, but if he is the son of God are we not all of God therefor children of God? In this since, do we worship him or just follow his direction? i feel like I'm committing Blasphemy just asking this and I pray to understand. I know people suffer from the Stigmata because of there beliefs in Jesus I myself want to believe in him in such ways I just want more knowledge of the subject so I study all forms of religion to find an answer to all. Please help me find the divine. All relgions are welcome.

Quran 4:84 “Fight then in Allah's way; this is not imposed on you except In relation to yourself, and ROUSE THE BELIEVERS TO ARDOR MAYBE Allah will restrain the fighting of those who disbelieve and Allah is strongest in prowess and strongest to give an exemplary punishment.” http://cwis.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/004.qmt.html

Some translations say "rouse" others say "incite". The meaning is the same...pick a fight with the unbelievers....start a fight with the unbelievers.

Wait, havent I heard Muslims claim that allllllllll the violent passages in the Quran are merely redundant expressions for "fight only in self defense" (5 words),.

Why do you think God dosnt exist? Have you ever created something out of nothing? If you did, i'd like to see that because I know you havent. Everything is created out of something, even the earth. And that something is God. Don't say it was dust or a bang or energy because all of those things have to be created. And no don't ask who created God either because he was always there, he had the power to create himself. God is the answer, he created all and everything, AND he saved you from your sin. If you ask him to forgive he will, and he always will love you. He is not based on science but neither are you're beliefs. Because all your therioes are nonsense, they just lead to more ?'s. Trust me if you take the time to find Jesus you will feel him with you. I know you cant create anything out of nothing, the only person with the power to is God, something cannot be created with a force, and that force is God. So explain now why you don't believe he is there?

God wants a relationship built on trust, not proof!

Yet even if God provided proof that was satisfactory to everyone, faith and trust would still be required to follow God. The atheist's question would merely change from "Why doesn't God prove his existence?" to "Why doesn't God explain why he did this and not that?" Atheists themselves would become theists, but not all of them would become Christians: one can believe God exists without believing he's worthy of worship, or that Christ's death atoned for our sins.
