We can't do everything....I mean becoming an actor, being a simple down to earth person, doing 4000 push ups a day, I mean life is endless.....but if they'res a pre-defined goal, absolutely necessary, of any kind....is it possible we could not acheive it?

What I'm getting at is highlight the power of mind, and how it knows no boundaries.....

If I wait too long after watching it I'm average again....like superman with kryptonite.....

The mind can boost the body completely and in no time. It hurts, sure, but the more will, the higher the threshold for pain....

If you believe in destiny, in predefined goals, then regardless of what steps you take they will lead you in the direction toward completion of those goals. If in your heart and soul you are unconsciously aware of what you need to accomplish in this lifetime, you will somehow be pushed and prodded to aim for and to seek and to reach whatever goal is intended for you. This pushing and prodding could be the energy of Source, Higher Self, DNA structure, electromagnetic frequencies -- almost any reason could be gently nudging you or intensely forcing you to walk a path you might not want to walk.

I have learned from experience, Denver, that it is much easier to be a palm tree in the darkness of a hurricane, bending and flexing with the changing winds, rather than the oak, which will be violently uprooted because of its inflexibility. If you are given a challenge and you do not think you can overcome it, then you will not, and vice versa. What you think and feel you become and you are. If you think and feel that you can accomplish something and truly believe it, then you will succeed -- somehow. To breathe underwater -- get some diving gear and you can breathe underwater. To leap from a tall building and survive -- get a parachute to take along for the ride.

If you TRY to cross the river, you will tend to get wet. It is when you DECIDE to cross the river that you will stay dry, Grasshopper. (tee hee)

I don't think I would be able to change my gender without surgery, or change my mother into my grandmother... But I don't think those are the kinds of things you meant. I think if someone truly believes they can do something, like really really believes (and is not trying to convince themselves or others) then they can probably do almost anything. Have you heard of "The Secret" what do you think of it?

I haven't ever pushed my limits so far that I wonder what will happen next. I try to practice "The Secret" but I'm not a master at it. I think with practice though, someone could probably push the limits very far.

Think about all the people that The Secret mentions. It says that many powerful people in history knew about the secret and at that time they were pushing the limits farther than anyone had before; so I guess it's possible.

The pace of sunshine is without doubt proper. I suspect that making the proper determination, regularly, is unattainable. If you'll be able to devise a device that can be utilized to investigate the elements influencing our selections, making them "regularly" proper, you're going to most likely take delivery of a Noble award.

well the mind is a powerfull thing if used correctly, remember we are bound to this phisical world and we must live and die by its rules, god decided this and its a wisdom that baffels many still,

anyway always strive for the best but have patience and dream of impossible things becuase maybe in the future they might become real (flying in aircraft, reaching the moon, light bulb, computers, phone) all are examples of things that woul have got u burnd on a stick if u mentioned 100 years earlier :P

Your in the religion and spirituality section....
I believe just as we can't see ultraviolet light, can't hear ultrasonic sounds, I believe we have cognitive limits.

The power of mind your looking for is shown everyday all around us in the form of engineering, chemistry, and the like, however there is a culture based intellectual laziness over taking us, recently a bridge failed, we built it, we can fix it, but we both could and could not prevent the failure.

We have the know-how, but lack the sense of the big picture, and lack the resolve.

Fly like superman.
Trust me I tried when I was little. It did not go well.
But I did get ice cream after the doctor was done putting a cast on my arm.
Edit- Red_zxx- Ombrophobia is the fear of rain. I have no idea how I know that, but I do.

f in case of fire, I would rather jump from the building than experience cremation alive. I will do it, at least I can still have an inkling that I can survive the fall.

I haven't been able to learn to breathe water yet, or to fly unassisted, both of which could be absolutely necessary for survival in certain circumstances.
