A) no. And I think anyone who says they love everyone is being less than honest
B) yes. And I try to get rid of it ASAP when I do have it. Hate ends up destroying the hater.
C) There is some will involved, but some things are out of our control.
D) I love you, my friend. I will always remember something you wrote to me when I first started writing in this forum. I was wandering along with questions about how does a person know if she is really a Witch, and what does a real Witch do. You wrote to me something like: "don't worry too much about the labels hon, we all find our path..." You called me hon and reassured me that the labels are unimportant, and that it is really more about what we DO. I know that sometimes the smallest things will have the biggest impact and we don't even know it, but it made me feel gently like a little girl who had just been told it was OK by the teacher. That was good for me to feel just then, and I thank you for it now.
Bright Blessings, teacher!

D.) Loving "everybody" is a bit unrealistic. I simply cannot feel love for a total stranger. I usually know within five minutes whether or not I like someone I've met for the first time, and since not liking the person is always a more probable scenario, I'm usually ahead of schedule. I more often than not feel total hatred for the person after three minutes. As for defending my position, it's completely arbitrary; no explanation or justification is needed.
Freedom of thought is such a grand thing.

Hi Sis,
A. Knowing we all come from the same source I recognize that love we all have for each other. And I realize we all have a pain or two that make so many of us creepy and hard to love.
B. Honestly? I hate child abusers, pedophiles and rapists - at will. I believe I could deball them all myself, watch them bleed to death and walk away without flinching. Other than those creatures, I always look for something good in everyone and find it hard not to like most folks. Yes, even our little Christian buddies I do love, but...............they CAN piss me off! Think I'm still 'hot' from getting burned at the stake! LOL
Pagan Witch, all the way.
Blessed Be

Love and hate is about respect and lack of respect (Respectfully). I would say as a cautious optimistic that I love most and try not to hate the rest. I am human, so the wages of my sin will be death, but not because God said so. Because my sins themselves will probably kill me.
I was just blocked by a hypocrit who only wanted one sided answers. Kind of puts a bad taste in your mouth, yet I feel bad for her. She is so blind to the world. I don't love or hate her.
Hate is wrong no matter who does it.
Erase the hate.

I don't love everyone, but I don't do any hating.
I don't bother defending my position on anything because I don't have enough respect for the opinions of others to feel the need.
No RS affiliation that I'm aware of.

I'm all B. I try not to hate anyone. It takes too much effort. And life is too short to put forth effort being hateful to someone. Granted there are people that I dislike. No one likes everyone the meet. But to truly hate someone, I don't have time for that! I'm catholic, and of course they teach you should love everyone, but to me this isn't a religious issue being as I know lots of hateful Catholics.
What about you?

everything in life has an equal opposite.hate is a strong emotion yet it is simply the equal opposite to love.both are equally capable of changing your life forever.
hate is not always the guilty emotion in life's changes.love can and has done as much damage.more than once has love been the prelude of hateful vengeance.not all you love are worthy of it.
both should be felt.only love should be nurtured, hate should be tempered
really have no r&s affiliation.believe in spirituality and detest organized religion.

It's really not possible to love everybody, but I can say with all honesty that I hate no one.
I try to be accepting of all people. Religion, social status, sexual orientation, nationality, etc., never enters into it. What matters to me is the character the person possesses, and the goodness in their heart.

I am an absolutely rabid atheist. I kind of like what Jesus Christ said was the second-greatest commandment—to love your neighbor as yourself. I kind of like what Christ said about helping the poor and underprivileged. I kind of like what Christ said about loving your enemy. I just sometimes wish more Christ-ians felt these were important too.
I try to love everybody. If I can't manage that, I at least try not to hate them. Of course, I don't always succeed—Christians, atheists, and others will agree that people aren't perfect.

The alternatives are too simple for such a complex question. It is silly to love everybody; not everybody is lovable. Nor is avoiding hate necessarily meritorious; some people are hateful. I just try to be nice to people, and will continue to do so as long as they are nice to me. (I'm an atheist.)
