I think this is a rather fitting analogy for what Israel (with U.S. dollars and arms, of course) did to Lebanon.

And before you say "Toys can't be compared to human lives" or some such thing, really think. Whether we like it or not, we ARE the pawns of politicians. Nothing more. Until we stand up, that is.

Anyhow, the question still is: if your neighbor's child stole some of your child's toys, would you burn his house down?

History was made on Thursday, July 12th when a Hindu priest delivered the opening prayer at the U.S. Senate for the first time ever. Mr. Rajan Zed, a journalist and Hindu priest, delivered a minute and a half prayer in which he offered God thanks and prayed for peace.

However, before Mr. Zed could offer his short prayer to God, threeChristian activists disrupted the ceremony with angry shouts and denunciations of Hinduism to the shock of on-lookers. "This is an
abomination!" the Washington Post reports one of the disruptors as screaming. "We are Christians and patriots!" yelled another before being led away by police.

Shockingly, far from being an isolated and spontaneous incident of hatred, it is reported that a large number of well-organized fundamentalist Christian groups throughout the nation had been
clamoring against allowing a Hindu priest to lead a prayer in our nation's capital. The American Family Association has been on the forefront of urging

Christians often claim that they're not obligated to follow the Old Testament. Because they are confused and their Bible is a notorious book in corruptions, man's alterations and lies, they are left with nothing but confusion and a religion of guessing.

Let us look at what Jesus said in the New Testament:

Matthew 15:1-9
1 Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked,
2 "Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don't wash their hands before they eat!"
3 Jesus replied, "And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?
4 For God said, 'Honor your father and mother' and 'Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.'
5 But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, 'Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is a gift devoted to God,'
6he is not to 'honor his father' with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.
7You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:
8 " 'These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.
9 They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.'"

There are few points to notice here:

1- Notice in verse 3, Jesus rebuked the Pharisees for breaking the Commands of GOD Almighty.

2- In verse4, he used the cursing of parents' punishment as an example.

3- In verses 7,8 and 9, he used a quote from the book of Isaiah in the Old Testament, to further prove that they are not following the Commands of GOD Almighty.

4- Jesus clearly had a problem with them not following the punishment of death for cursing the parents. In fact, Jesus himself said:

"Do not think that I [Jesus] have come to abolish the Law (the Old Testament) or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke or a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law (the Old Testament) until everything is accomplished. (Matthew 5:17-18)"

"Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples: 'The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.' (Matthew 23:1-3)"

Here is what Paul said regarding the ruling authority:

"The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment. (1 Corinthians 2:15)"

with a daily moment of silence in schools?

Here's the deal, if religion (and when I say religion I am talking mainly about evangelical christianity) wasn't so messed up, I really wouldn't have a problem with allowing a *brief* moment of silence in schools which allow kids some prayer time. I recognize that some people are religious and for whatever reason feel the need to pray at certain times. And personally, I couldn't care less about their habit to do so. But the thing is, evangelical christians are so out of control in this country that I think it's better to keep all things religious out of the schools, because evangelical christianity really has become (IMO) a toxic influence on society.

We had a moment of silence in my school and I just looked at girls **** and whatnot. Yeah, in general it was a waste of time, but it really wasn't that big of a deal.

Here are the utmost complete references about this nutritious polygamist who mislead people into thinking that God had mandated this horrible sin. When reading Mormon produced literature remember that it comes from a non-objective source. That is why we are providing sources that expose the truth.

God Bless! I know that I will get numerous thank you emails so if I don't have time to reply...your welcome, I am glad to be able to help:)

Also, the Bible teaches against polygamy and states that it is adultery, a crime against Heavenly Father's Ten Commandments.

Seriously. I have found in my journey through life that those who do not believe in Jesus, (not saying a higher being, I am talking Jesus and the Bible) have a better outlook on life and are FAR less judgemental of other people.

How can we get more people out of this stuff?

Can we go on crusades, spread the word and try to get people out of that the same way that they try to get people in?

"History was created in the United States Senate at 9.30 am on Thursday, when Rajan Zed, the Hindu chaplain of the Indian Association of Northern Nevada, opened the Senate with a Hindu prayer. However, just as Zed was about to begin the prayer, a few Christian fundamentalists protested and began screaming, while holding the Bible aloft, "Lord Jesus, protect us from this abomination." Officers from the Sergeant of Arms' office ejected one after the other (three were taken away) from the Senate gallery which looks down on the floor."

Any thoughts?

Paul wrote thousands of words about Christianity, yet in none of them did he mention specific details about the life, teachings, family, of Jesus. Not even details about his supposed death on the cross and resurrection. Paul seems quite ignorant when it comes to details. Why is that?

alrite here's d deal, im bored n alone for d summer n have been thinkin way too much. ill need to make clear a few things, i myself am a believer n is not here to disprove or offend anyone or religion whatsoever...
it has been in my head these past few days, we all know that God so loved the world that he gave his one n only son to die for us, a sacrifice they call it. But then we are also given the fact that god is omniscient, meaning he knows everything. so He knows that Jesus is going to die and live again.
if that is true then is it really a sacrifice?is it a sacrifice to send someone with the knowledge that he is going to return?
comment or thoughts on this matter would be really appreciated:)

Why is it that when someone asks for information about the
Bible there is always someone who will write something dumb
like... "Wow! You're older than my 5 year old kid and you
don't know a thing!"? Or "Ha! You take advice from some old
book" If you are not going to help or don't know a thing about
the subject, why bother to waste 10 seconds of your life typing something useless?
Why do some Christians/religious people (who are supposed to help those who do not know much about Christ learn about him) sometimes write comments that ... pretty much insults the asker who is ONLY trying to read and learn about the Bible to understand some of the BELIEFS of others?
Maybe they're in their quest to find God? Can somebody answer this or atleast... I don't know... give me a good reason why this occurs?
