I totally agree with you. I too, have found more people who are not "seriously religious" live more "Godly" than those who attend church on a daily basis. I find a lot of so called "Christians" are liars, theives, sleep around on their husbands/wives, and so much more. They turn around and go church, and then come out and be "washed of all sin" because they have "gone to church". We had a baptist preacher pass through our neighborhood not too long ago, and he came up to our door, and said "have you assured your place in heaven when you die?" I told him, that I was not aware that I needed to make reservations, and that I didn't believe in his storybook. It's just hard to belive in the bible itself because it is a like a big fish story. Who is the ORIGINAL author, was he followed around, and was this documented word for word? Old Testament? New Testament? What to believe? I believe that the bible was put in place to scare people to do what the government wanted them to do back in the day.
So, Overall, know that you are not alone in your belief. The bible is a good story. The 10 commandments are basically "Common Sense". So, stick with that, and hopefully the brainwashing will stop one day!
Take care!

Well, you might want to stop using emotionally laden statements like "snap out of it". If I called you "nuts" or "crazy" or "insane" or any of the other possible connotations I could put on that phrase, would you want to listen to anything else I had to say?
More importantly, why do you care? If you don't believe in Jesus and the bible, why do you care if I do...what does it matter to you if I have a better outlook on life and became less judgmental? As a Christian, I'm commanded to care about you so I do have a reason for caring that you've made a choice that I think will hurt you...what's your motivation for caring if I choose to hurt myself in the way you suggest?

I can understand why you might feel that Christians are judgemental as I am a Christian and I have been (in the past) and know many who still are judgemental. The think is, the Bible tells us to judge not, lest you be judged. It is only God's job to judge, for only He knows the true intent of man's heart.
I truly hope you will find more people who are Christians that actually live as Christ commanded. I am sorry you've had such bad experiences:)

You need to concern yourself with your own beliefs and morals and find some other crusade, something that actually helps people. Let them believe what they want and you believe what you want. It's not necessary for everyone to believe as you do. Also, common sense will tell you that the more you do to attack someone's beliefs, the stronger they become. It's sort of like when your parents tell you that you cannot love a certain person. What happens then in most cases? You love that person more.

I am a Bible believing Christian. My spiritual ancestors have been stoned, eaten by lions, beheaded, sawn in two...read Hebrews chapter 11....what new torture would you suggest?
Have you ever known someone to die for a lie? Are you aware that ALL of Jesus disciples (except Judas Iscariot and John, who was banished to the island of Patmos) died violent deaths at the hands of their persecutors rather than recant their testomonies?
Would you prefer to gather us by the masses and attempt to exterminate Christianity like Hitler tried the Jews? Did it ever occur to you that if there are so many people willing to DIE for their faith that there might be SOMETHING TO their faith?
YOU SNAP OUT OF IT!!!!!
Oh, and my outlook? Great, I love life. Can't help it if you're going to Hell. Your choice. God gave it to you. Have a nice day!!

I have found in my journey thru life that Jesus and his message is the only way to enjoy Eternal Joy!
Something you obviously have never encountered. Once one has felt this peace and joy of committing their life to Christ and his truth it becomes the reason for life it self. Because it is the reason for life. It's why we're here. And no matter what one says who doesn't understand it, they haven't the power to remove those feelings from the hearts and minds of the Believers. sorry Your headed the wrong direction! Turn around. God is waiting. He loves you. Let the love into your heart. Feel the joy!!!

I think it would be better to turn to the bible to see what a Christian should be, I can understand that one might have bad experiences with Christians, but not all of them are really Christians. I used to use drugs and I let my life slip away. My Girl friend was on depressants and now she is not. I am free of drugs and love life. All because of Jesus.

So you're saying that you want to pull people away from their religion? And that destroys the whole idea of amendments and right to religion and free speech. Wow...sounds like a guy who once tried to destroy all the Jews because they were different. You have no right to bash peoples beliefs and try to conform them to whatever the hell you worship. You haven't met everybody who believe in Jesus. I believe in Jesus and the Bible and i'm not judgemental. You're sad...all I have to say to you is...good luck, cuz you're gonna reallllly need it.

It's been tried, and failed. Look up the French and Communist Revolutions.
You might as well try to make people 'snap out of' Love, Faith, Truth, and Goodness.
Or try to convince people that Alexander the Great, Socrates, Casear, and George Washington never lived.

ACtually, I am the opposite. Everyone I know who is a christian has a MUCH better outlook then someone who isnt.
We go through trials and we know God will get us through.
You do and you fall apart.
We know God is in control of everything that happens day to day.
I am very very happy, and have a wonderful uplifting outlook on life.
But I also believe in being separated from a evil and perverse world.
If you think that is a bad outlook, so be it. That is to be expected from someone who doesnt know God.
