She hates the thought of abortion. Please be kind and do not respond negatively. I'm just asking if anyone knows of an adoption organization that you feel will help her. She already has two children to raise after her husband left her. Please do not respond unless you have something helpful to say.

We would never notice god

This is not an evidence against god, but rather describes the lack of sense in praying to a god who stands above time.

If god stands above time and created time and space he can not be the first link in a time dependent chain of events. Rather he would affect every step in all chains, and we would only see god in the laws of physics (Davies, 1983, chapter 4). This god is an unnecessary entity to describe the world and should be removed with Occam's razor

If somebody would pray to god and god would listen, the laws would change to achieve the desired result. Thus the world would be different and the prayer would never have been said. Besides god would already (in an "above time" sense of view) know that you would pray, and already have changed the world. Prayers would be totally meaningless. We would already live in the best world possible, and any prayer would be to doubt the wisdom of god.

Even worse: For every prayer said, god has not acted, or else the prayer had been undone. This means that the more people have prayed, the more bad things in the world have persisted. Therefore, the more you pray, the more evil persist (provided god exists and stands above time).

A much better way to change the world is to do it yourself. Then you would know that it was you who made the world better. The effect of prayers are not scientific provable, whilst the effect of actions are. Instead of praying you should set to work at improving your situation. This is what humanism is about.

If you want an example of God's sadism, look no further than Job.

There is a man who loves God, and as the book turns out, is quite prepared to prove it, all of which God knew before ever he laid a hand on Job.

Yet, to prove a point to -satan-, God tortures poor Job beyond belief.

Deliberate, slow, unjustified torture, to prove a point to satan.

Read what I wrote in light of what he did to Job and tell me if I'm so far off track.

My thesis is that people who claim to believe in god do not really do so. They just wish to believe in god. They somehow feel that their lives are meaningless without god, so they choose to close their eyes to evidence against the existence of god. The christian view is well expressed by Cardinal Ratzinger:

"Religious liberty can not justify freedom for divergence. This freedom does not aim at any freedom relative truth, but concerns the free descicion for a person to, according to his moral inclinations accept the truth." (The times, June 27 1990, p9) [Translated to Swedish in the Swedish version of (Baigenth, Leigh, 1991) and then translated back to english by me]
also one persons in my last question said I have Anger issues to be dealt with, which is not the case at all, it is just a blind assumption. Most of the people trying to debunk my Reasons why I do not believe in god have failed to revert any of my reasonings so far.

Yes I am a great fool. I am not wise. I know nothing. I don't even have the slightest bit of knowledge about my own faith. I ask so many questions. I read so many things. I find more and more that I know less and less. I am not an expert on anything. There's just so much to know.

The only things I do know are these:

1 - I am a great fool.
2 - I don't know anything.
3 - I am weak.
4 - I fail my God on a daily basis.
5 - I'm sorry.

The Vile

Webster’s definition of vile is morally despicable or abhorrent or physically repulsive.

The bible says, “The wicked freely strut about when what is vile is honored among men.” (Psalm 12:8) Do not be proud of your sins. If you are proud of your sins the bible calls you wicked.

The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. (Psalm 14:1) If you do not believe in God then you are a fool. The bible says there is no one who is good. If you do not believe in God then you are also corrupt and your deeds are vile.
He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart and has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong and casts no slur on his fellowman, who despises a vile man but honors those who fear the LORD, who keeps his oath even when it hurts, who lends his money without usury and does not accept a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken. (Psalm 15:2-5) Those who are vile do not do what is righteous. A person who does what is righteous despises a vile man.
I will set before my eyes no vile thing. (Psalm 101:3) We are not even supposed to watch vile things. Do you watch vile things on TV? Do turn off any channel that shows something vile?
While they were enjoying themselves, some of the wicked men of the city surrounded the house. Pounding on the door, they shouted to the old man who owned the house, "Bring out the man who came to your house so we can have sex with him." The owner of the house went outside and said to them, "No, my friends, don't be so vile. Since this man is my guest, don't do this disgraceful thing. Look, here is my virgin daughter, and his concubine. I will bring them out to you now, and you can use them and do to them whatever you wish. But to this man, don't do such a disgraceful thing." (Judges 19:22-24) This passage says it is wrong or vile to have sex with the same sex. This is not an ok life style with God. This is a sin that leads to death. If you are living a homosexual life style, then repent and turn from your wickedness. God loves you and wants to help you. You cannot get help unless you ask God. You have to want to change. God will not make you change. If you do not change you then the bible says, “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." This passage is basically saying if you do not turn from your wickedness, then you will go to hell and not go to heaven.

When recieving the Eucharist during Mass, the priest says "Body of Christ" right? Are you supposed to say anything back?

Does he have to put the host on your tongue? I heard you can take it in your hands. Is there a special gesture or position your hands have to be in?

Okay, since we're anonymous, let's admit it: You don't really believe in god, nor in all that foolishness in the bible, but you just can't help feeling that faith is a fine thing and it should be encouraged in others?

It's okay. I won't tell. :-)

The bible says, “Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you. You must be blameless before the LORD your God.” (Deuteronomy 18:9-13)

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." (Revelation 21:8)
