Okay, since we're anonymous, let's admit it: You don't really believe in god, nor in all that foolishness in the bible, but you just can't help feeling that faith is a fine thing and it should be encouraged in others?

It's okay. I won't tell. :-)

batgirl2good: Wrong. I respect beliefs that can be backed up with evidence, or at least with a plausible argument. Religious beliefs don't qualify.

batgirl2bgood: And as for how I would wish to be treated -- actually, if I asserted that leprechauns exist, I would expect to be laughed out of the room.

Alright, since we're anonymous...

I do believe in God, I believe that MOST of the stuff in the Bible happened exactly the way they say it did, and while faith is a VERY fine thing, and it should be encouraged, that isn't all that my beliefs are based on.

You're wrong. I believe in God and in the Bible. I believe some of it is metaphor.

I know that you're a cool enough person to accept and respect my beliefs, as I do yours. I'm sure you accept and respect the beliefs of all faiths, or no faith, as the case may be, right?
After all, that's how you would want to be treated.

Have a happy day, girl!

Oh! look, I know it is so very hard to believe but there are those who do believe in the bible, and god and all sorts. and there are some who believe the world is flat and that humans come from another planet, etc etc.

I'm a Christian for 25 years now. I don't "believe" that Jesus is God, I KNOW Jesus is God.

I KNOW that every word of the Bible is true and correct, and much of it has been proven to be true just through basic historical, scientific and archeological finds. So what's not to believe?

That is the silliest thing I have heard in a very long time.

Okay... let me see... you really do not believe in yourself. You are just a figment of some alien consciousness' imagination.

Why don't you just admit it... we are all anonymous here...

It's okay. I won't tell. ;-)

That's funny. Good joke. Let's just all admit that the Bible is true and that Salvation only comes through faith. After all, its only between me and you and God.

God is a concept, not to say it isn't a good one. As for the bible, stories written by men for convenience. I'll never understand why women would be religious.

I believe in God, who created the universe and all that is in it. I believe in Jesus Christ, His son, who was born of a virgin, lived a life without sin, died on a cross, was resurrected on the third day, and now sits at the right hand of the Father. I believe in Noah's ark, Adam & Eve, the Exodus, the rapture of the saints, the second coming of Christ, and the redemption of mankind. I believe in a heaven so marvelous it cannot be explained and a hell so hot that it is beyond comprehension. I believe Christ died to redeem all of mankind, but the majority of mankind will reject Him. I believe that Israel is God's chosen people, and the nations of the world will be judged according to how they have dealt with Israel. I believe I am on my way to heaven, and I believe that you are not, and I will add you to my prayer list hoping that you will see the light.

Well, you're partly right - I don't believe what's written in the Bible, anyway...
