I think he would consider Christians to be a sect of Judaism, and would not approve, especially of the physical depictions of him on the cross, if that's not idolatry I don't know what is.
This is not trying to antagonise anyone, just extrapolating what I think he would have thought.

"Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.
--1 Tim. 2:11-14

This is not meant offensively but I just can not understand how a woman can follow a religion that very clearly states that you are second class citizens. I had more quotes to add but there is a carecter limit.

is no God forever because you hold to your truth inside that you don't know that Jesus was infallible and either God or Son of God on earth 2000 years ago?

I have recently began to get curious about the end of time prophecies that signify the seven years are getting close. I know a few facts like the falling of the twin towers, technology becoming rampant, that israel shall be attacked from the east by air and shall not be harmed(hasnt happened yet), death of the pope etc. What are prophecies that you have heard about and please list some websites if you have any???????

sri.Aum ji:-(I dont believe Krishna to be vishnu avtar as popular belief is... vishnu is a smaller manifestation of Krishna, so is brahmaa and Rudra)

I beg to differ from you sri.Aum ji.you seem to be a devout Krishna Bhaktha.Even in Srimath Bhaagavatham of sri Veda Vyasa Krishna is described as a "Sampoorna Avathaaram" of Lord sri.Vishnu."Avatharam" in Sanskrit means "descending down"--like "Avaroganam"-"Avakunditham" etc -I hope you have read Sanskrit.---sri.Krishna is only the 8 th Avathaaram of Lord sri.Vishnu--like sri.Rama ,the 7 th Avathaaram.--sri.Rudra is mentioned in Vedam(the most Suprior Authority of Hindu religion)---"Om Namo Bhagavathay Rudraaya"--sri.Krishna studied the Vedham with sri.Kuchela under his Guru
sri.Saanthheepa Muny--but not mentioned in Vedas.Sri.Rudra is the Veda Purusha and sri.krishna is not a Veda Purusha.Sri.Bhagavad geetha and srimath Bhaagavatham are only "Aaptha Vaakyam (of sri.Vyaasa) but VEDHAM-the is THE SUPREME AUTHORITY..

i just typed psalm 100:4 in an answer, and it made me wonder...

in the lutheran church we practice this through liturgy. i'm guessing episcopalians and presbyterians might do the same, but i don't know. who else has chants and canticles and introits and graduals and stuff?

I find it unbelievable that an established atheist can become a true follower. Believers who were once atheists - were you really just an agnostic who used the atheist title to be more cool or were you truly an atheist?

2007-07-07 08:44:14 · 15 answers · asked by Anonymous

A person who does not practice any religion, an agnostic/athiest etc.

Or

A person who "practices" a religion but does not truly, in their heart, believe in god.

than why does he feel the need to "test" faith? Isn't that just sadistic of him, since he would already know the outcome?

(p.s. I'm Wiccan, but we can all be curious, right?)

"a person who believes that God created the universe and then abandoned it"

Where, in your opinion, has God gone? and what is He doing?

This is a serious question.

thank you

Is it ironic that SETI has been scanning the vast heavens for decades using design detection methodology to search for intelligent life “somewhere out there”, has yet to discover any intelligent life what so ever; and yet the people who run SETI and like-minded folks have unanimously failed to look inward at our own planet, using a very similar design detection methodology to discover what actually is “somewhere out there”?

I have recently heard that 25% of catholics in the U.S. are of spanish decent. I am just wondering about the other 75%. I think at one time Irish catholics were the ethnic majority in the U.S. I also know in the 1920's many catholic ethnic groups inter-married like many Irish-Catholics were maryring Italian-Catholics. So I'm just curious what percentage of Americans are Irish-Catholics, Italian-Catholics, German-Catholics, Polish-Catholics, French-Catholics, Mixed Ethnicity-Catholics etc. and how many Catholics are Converts that are decendents from some ethnicity that is not dominated by the Catholic religion.

I am just curious .

I'm familiar with this groups theology regarding the holiness of god but i simply don't see why god and Jesus deserve praise and worship. According to them we are created to fail with the foreknowledge that we will fail so that god can give us a way out of this failure (which he created) and be a hero.

Simple question. If i stabbed you and then gave you first aid and CPR that saved your life would you thank me for saving your life? Or would you condemn me for attempting to murder you?

According to this theology god appears to be a psychotic egomaniac with Münchhausen by proxy syndrome. It simply baffles me that anyone takes that stuff seriously.

I think people waste time on myths like god and the easter bunny and santa clause because they believe in nothing else, or simply haven't the brains to figure things out for themselves.
