An animal should never take precedent over a human, but the way humans act now a days, you can't blame them. Personally I am an animal lover and have too many. I help humans also, but they are not nearly as thankful or loving as the animals.

It doesn't seem at all ridiculous. Why would it?
We are all animals. I don't know of any good argument to establish that humans are of higher value than are other animals. In fact, when the question comes up, people tend to immediately fall back to the silly "we've got souls" or "we were created in God's image" arguments. Since there is no God and there is no such thing as a "soul", those arguments are completely empty.
Do you know of a good argument for the claim that humans are necessarily of higher value than other animals?

For one thing this seems to be the wrong section for your question.
for another, you're very much entitled to YOUR opinion. know what mine is?
I can't stand people who don't value the lives of animals.
have you ever noticed that murder and terrible behavior is called "animalsitc"? yes well that couldn't be further from the truth, animals don't kill for pleasure- they defend what is theirs but they don't hate because of differences. They don't drastically damage the environment, and they don't ruin nearly as many things in general.

Yes it is but we as humans assert way too much power over animals. Take veal for example. I'll never eat a piece of veal in my life and we as humans should be ashamed of ourselves at what we do to those poor calves. The experiments, the fur, the hunting for sport? Its all the senseless killing and no one stops to say "hey, lets take it easy."
I'm not saying we stop our way of life but humans are too arrogant, they want to control everything.

If seeking to protect animals from abuse and neglect is what you're talking about, then I disagree. All life has value and should be nurtured and cared for. I guess without more definition of what you're talking about, it's difficult to answer.

I value all life equally, I have no more right to be here than any other living thing.
I recently moved to a place where I encounter black widows, scorpions and rattlesnakes constantly, I just push them to one side and continue on.

Yes, it is ridiculous. People who love animals more than people are worshipping a different god.

I can't stand people who have no value for animal life. I value animals highly over humans, because animals DON'T make the world suck. PEOPLE do.

No, doesn't bother me. I suggest you ask this in the pets section. I'd be interested in seeing the answers you get there :)
