"Husbands love your wives even as Christ loved the church and gave himself for it." With that charge--man is responsible for the well fare of his family. He is the boss--not out of duty but respect. A woman who recognizes this will receive a crown of Glory. Man is to protect--love--Cherish--honor--praise his wife--that is what Jesus did for the church. He is to be an ensample of the adoration of the Lord. Man and woman become one in their union

I was once ask by a friend to teach him how to be the spiritual leader of his family.
my response was that he already was the spiritual leader of his family.
whether we want it or not, the male is ordained by God as spiritual leader, and we can either lead in a Godly way, or we can lead in an ungodly way.
his wife who was a Godly woman had been on him to take over the spiritual leadership of his family.
what she really want him to do was to become a Godly man, as an example for his children.
for they were already following his leadership. just in the wrong way.
when we realize that we are the spiritual leaders of our family, then we are able to accept the resposibilit that comes with it.

It means to be a servant leader. It means to love. It means to teach my family the ways of Christ and obey the Bible.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. 1 Cor. 13:1-13

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Tim. 3:16-17

It means the you are the "priest, prophet, and provider" for your family. You teach your children the great truths contained in the Bible and have family devotionals and prayer time. You raise your children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. You intercede for your family in prayer. You make sure that everyone goes to church. You have gainful employment so that you are providing for the material needs of your family and you set a godly example for the other members of your family in speech, choices of entertainment, and other behaviors that demonstrate that you live your life before God with a desire to please Him in all that you think, say and do.
