I'm familiar with this groups theology regarding the holiness of god but i simply don't see why god and Jesus deserve praise and worship. According to them we are created to fail with the foreknowledge that we will fail so that god can give us a way out of this failure (which he created) and be a hero.

Simple question. If i stabbed you and then gave you first aid and CPR that saved your life would you thank me for saving your life? Or would you condemn me for attempting to murder you?

According to this theology god appears to be a psychotic egomaniac with Münchhausen by proxy syndrome. It simply baffles me that anyone takes that stuff seriously.

You better watch yourself or Kirk Cameron is going to show up on your doorstep with a crocaduck and stick a microphone in your face.
I would thank you for saving me and show my appreciation by having you thrown in jail with the crocaduck.

I honestly don't know what to say to that. I guess you can ask Him when you come before Him. God help you!!

I guess the best way I can think to answer what you are saying is that anyone who has a child knowing that that child is going to have to mess up and learn from it's mistakes should not have reproduced, simply because that child was going to fail.

Hebrews 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God.

Romans 1:18 - 22 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and righteousness of men, who supress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them.for since the creation of the world, His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because although they knew God,, did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful but become futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man...

Psalm 14:1 The fool has said in his heart,"there is no God."

First, I don't want you to think I am attacking your question/statement. But, Look at it this way instead. If you where an eternal being. And you wanted to be truly loved. Would you create beings that chose to love you or had to? How would you know which it was? What trails would you ALLOW your subjects to go through for them to have a complete and full choice? Now if they chose you with all the options you gave them and they saw you as the supreme choice. Would you expect praise? Finally did you stab them or did they stab themselves with the choices they made?

After being outside of Christianity for several years now, it certianly doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It does when you are in it though.

Pesonally, I don't believe G-d created people to fail/fall at all. G-d created people that were fully capable of doing what is right and to follow the Law. And that people have free will. We fail and do what is wrong because we chose to, not because G-d designed us that way. We are not robots and G-d is not a cosmic genie. There is both G-d's will and our will in this world. G-d's will is always supreme, but people often beleive that their will is all there is.

Also - I would thank you for coming to your senses and showing compassion for saving my life. And then seriously contemplate beating you up for stabbing me in the first place. You're right - it is a nonsense system.

I believe most definitely that if you stabbed me and then saved me, I would thank you, and forgive you. Then my next question would be to ask you Why?

About your other question, I have seen many people who see no hope in Jesus or God, but How long have we put our faith in men and world leaders, who in plain view of our eyes show no clear path to solve the world problems, and who's only interest is personal gain and political blabbering.

We have advanced in technologies which are of great help for solving most problems in our society but capital is always put before equality.

So "Better is to put faith in the unknown than in the devil we know".

God is not a failure nor are we. God created us in his image. We as man have taken on our own image and decided to take our free will and run from the one that gave us that breath that brought us to life. He deserves to have praise and worship because you don't know how many times in your life he has kept you out of trouble or been watching over you in a time of need and you didn't even know. In the old testament you redeemed yourself through the sacrifice of an animal. God sacrificed his son for us so that we could have eternal life and we could bring ourselves closer to the one that created us. We have chosen to separate ourselves, God is trying to bring us back into his saving grace. We were not created to fail, we have chosen to fail. The image God created us in was not of failure but of greatness and grace. It is our choice to decide if we fail or if we become of greatness.

Jesus Christ deserves praise and worship because He is the Creator and Sustainer of the universe.

Why don't you consider reading the book of John from a King James Bible first, then ask that question?
