this question supplies you 2 techniques, yet that's a pretend capture 22 project - it truly is not an the two-or proposition. it truly is carefully attainable to have faith indoors the Christian God and in spite of the incontrovertible fact that understand and settle for evolution. there's no rational reason to call for that the English King James version of the Bible could be believed be wakeful for be wakeful with a view to be seen a good Christian; many Orthodox Christians do no longer learn the KJV. The Holy Orthodox Bible is probably a greater robust precise translation of the Septuagint in spite of the incontrovertible fact that the Septuagint itself is an edited version of scripture. Why is the King James version of the Bible God's be wakeful? This Bible dates from 1611, so for the 1600 years between Christ and King James, the placement grew to grow to be God's be wakeful?

While I agree with you that evolution is fact, it is not a replacement for the comfort that belief in a god provides some people.
There are those who understand evolution is fact and still believe in a god. To suggest that people who waste their time on myths believe in nothing else or are brainless is just as much an unfair generalization as believers saying atheists believe in nothing and have no morals.
edit: granted there are those who refuse to educate themselves about something which they so vehemently oppose (Gerry).. but I see it more as a form of denial rather than a lack of intelligence.

The only proven part of Evolution is things changing within its own kind. No one denies this happens. Thousands of birds have originated from one kind of bird. But there is no proof that birds were ever lizards, though this is the claim in Evolution, nor that man was ever ape-like. God and Santa cannot be compared and is probably the lamest comparison there is.

I really believe that people believe in a God or high power, if you will, because they simply want to believe in something. They want to believe that there exists "more" than our simple physical lives. Also, religion is an excellent tool at keeping order in our society. Everything is based on religion, it seems even though we'd like to deny it. OK, so we don't all pray in school, but our government is pretty much based on religion.
It's everywhere and really if you think about it, it's not such a bad thing.
I'm an agnostic, so I'm stuck somewhere in the middle.

Sure, God is false, but evolution doesn't address anything about whether there is a God or not. It only talks about how the variety of species came from mutations. Life changes, which explains much more than some arm-waving explanation that God "created" life (how?) and we are somehow too much of an evil worm-like people to understand how it was done or use it ourselves for human benefit.

What do you mean by the term 'evolution'? That one species changed into another by natural selection and adaptation? I really would like to see the proof of this !!! You did use the word 'myth'.

Indoctrinated rains do not see facts .Not all people believer in the theory of eveolution.. since the theory of evolution is true and becasue of tha it does not prove that thre is nho god .it only disproes the statement of Moses in his foirst book that god made all ceatures and man in one day each just by saying hat let there becreatures and let ther be a man.Moses 's statemnnet is unscientific and unnatural and unaccewptable .since those who belie in the religions want to maintain he supernatural and mirculaous power of Gods and want to maintaion Moses's statement do not accept the theory of evolution .
accepting the theory of evolution does not disprove the exisence of god ,but only disproves the stament of Moses. .

When was evolution "proven"? I must have missed it. On the other hand, I have been hearing a lot of scientists saying that they no longer put stock in the theory.
By the way, the word "theory" means a set of hypotheses that are pulled together to give a possible explanation for something. If it were fact, it would be called "fact" and not theory. DUH!

I think the greatest myth ever created by man is the transitional fossil. There are millions and millions of fossils, and not one single transitional fossil has ever ever been discovered. No transitional fossils, no evolution. Looks like your the one that needs a kick start in the brain area there cow puncher.

I watched Walking with Cavemen. You have no room to talk about myths and fairy tales.
Besides, when the end comes we will see what is proven and CANnot.
I seem to remember when science said frisbee's and bumble bees should not be able to fly and yet they do.
