steve...hmm ok so where is the scripture for the "concept" ?? You didn't post it. But I'm not looking for the concept, I need to see where it literally and clearly says it plainly. Afterall, the Bible is the only authority right? ;-)

AdoreHim...but doesn't it also say that you "will have no life within you unless you eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood?"

And doesn't it also say that baptism saves us?

And confessing that Jesus is Lord isn't the same thing as "the sinner's prayer" which basically is recited as a way of receiving salvation.

hmm...

tongue in cheek....

Isn't is absolutely amazing how they comepletely ignore the LITERAL words of Jesus about the Eucharist, and cannot produce any evidence whatsoever for the 'sinners' pray or the altar calls??

The sinner's prayer is no where in the Biblical text. It is a prayer said by the priest over a person who may need strength overcoming sin. Most prayers are not part of the Bible, they are derived from Biblical knowledge and at times expanded text may be used.
The altar calls on the other hand are spread out throughout the New Testament, basically the test is verbatim from the Last Supper from the different version or books.
Again a great question, God bless always.

OK..................frist of all you are not saved by basptism. That comes after salvation! Boy are you confused. You really need to talk with Preacher who teaches from the original King James Bible.Or a Christian that reads and studies original King James Bilble. The sinner's prayer is when someone leads you through the plan of salvation. they sould start with the Romans Road.....The bible says that we all are sinners...Romans3:23,and that penalty of sin is hell...Romans6:23 and that Jesus paid the penalty...Romans5:8 and that by placing our faith and trust in Jesus we can be saved! Romans10:13 and John 3:15-16
and after you accept and trust Jesus as your personal Saviour you say the sinner's prayer: Dear God, I confess that I am a sinner.I do believe that Jesus Christ died for me to pay my sin debt, and the best I know how,I ask for forgiveness of my sins and ask you to come into my heart and be my Lord and Savior. I pray this in Jesus Name,......Amen"
And altar calls is an invitation form the Preacher to you and everyone to come and pray. But right now I think you should fine a good church where the Preacher reads and teaches for the original King James Version Bible. I hope and pray that this has help you .

May the wind be at your back....
And that you aways walk with God!

You won't find it. Nor will you find "sola scriptura." Nor will you find anything that says, "if you are fed up with your community, break away and form another."

Dear Hummingbird, the King James Bible is not the original Bible. It is a translation of the Bible. The Bible was written in Hebrew, Greek and some parts in Aramaic.

The term "altar call" does not look. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, in Matthew 10:32-33, we see that Scripture needless to say demands a public occupation of religion. "hence whoever confesses Me formerly adult males, him i will additionally confess formerly My Father who's in heaven. yet whoever denies Me formerly adult males, him i will additionally deny formerly My Father who's in heaven."

Those exact words, no- however the concept is all over scripture. "Those who confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord, will be saved".

You can't. But the concepts of both are quite apparent, and if you haven't seen them, you haven't looked for them.
