If you were a SDGSHGWHEgasgist, and the religion of SDGSHGWHEgasgism said the world was young old, and you found a website that said the world was 300 years old, would you just accept it as the hard truth or would you look for sources that held different views to understand both your view and the view of others?

They have to be the most hideous creature known to man, except perhaps for snails. Have you noticed you never see them during the day? I believe they are sent to earth on a night by Lucifer!

In my last question, i asked if you could be rid of one influence in your life what would it be? The majority of the answers, I noticed, had something to do with the opinions and thoughts of others.
Why do we let people live "rent free" in our heads and how is it that we rid ourselves of the control of others opinions? I would be intrested to hear everyones thoughts and opinions as well as their spiritual belief systems as well.

As usual, please no bashing. Only sincere and honest answers.

If you believe that lying is morally wrong, what is the difference between lying (claiming, for example, that speciation has never been observed) and pretending your claim has never been refuted successfully (saying that the experiments demonstrating speciation never happened)? Aren't both lies?

I ask because I'm trying to understand why the people who want me to believe in their RELIGIOUS beliefs about creation and the superiority of their religion seem to play very hard and fast with the truth, and I'm pretty sure they aren't supposed to lie to begin with, according to their religion.

(Oh, and for those who'd like to attack me for asking this, posts begining "you atheists" will be ignored. I'm not an atheist.)

The answer that seems to make the most sense to me is that these people find lying 100% okay if it furthers their god, and I know I'm not interested in a god who'd be furthered by lies.

Sometimes you just got to let go and let God, I am a toe stompen, face slappen (lol), tongue talken, Holy Ghost filled young man of God and i am NOT ashamed to give my God a praise.
Often i see some people don't want to praise God because they have a visitor with them but if God has been good to you, even if your scared that your friend might think your crazy, you got to give God a crazy praise, lol

We don't shout pretty, this ain't no pretty thing but when you really praise God like David did, you gone to look ugly, lol but it doesn't matter because God has been so good. Amen

Are you ashamed to praise God?

The olden days, like that of the Greeks, had thoughts of the Gods being up, and the underworld being below, but we now know that there's nothing below but magma and a core, and that Gods don't sit in the clouds. So where do you picture Heaven/Hell to be?

Even amongst Christians there is much disagreement over what the scriptures are supposed to mean. Oh, I have no doubt that each of you honestly believes that your own interpretation is the accurate one, but the fact that there can even be so many different interpretations of the same scriptures only lessens the credibility of the bible as the word of God.

Is there anyone you would like to say sorry to before you pass away?
Or have you already said sorry to someone you hurt?
Do you think 'feeling sorry' is enough, without actually saying it? Or if you talk through how sorry you are with a third party, is that enough?
If you pass away & you don't say sorry, what are you taking with you?

God created us. The Bible says that if we believe in God, we require a strong faith. A strong faith requires leaps of faith, like following blindly what the Bible says. And if we don't, we pay the consequences. Since the Church is built up of imperfect humans, isn't there a possibility that some of them may fall into temptation and trick us? It's so difficult to believe that God would treat us like this, or is it just the Church?
