There is no theory more substantiated than evolution. It has been shown to be fact, kinda like the earth being round. Just don't forget to drop a little something into the collection plate before you leave.

PS...........I'm no liberal. I just have the ability to read. You should try it sometime!

As far as I know, paleontologists hold that man and monkey descended from a common primate ancestor several million years ago.

There is nothing wrong with the animal physical vehicle of man evolving from lower forms, but to make man man, an immortal rational intellectual soul had to have been infused into him - such a thing is perfectly compatible with Genesis, as however it is done, we are all made from the dirt of the ground.

Also, there need not be any conflict between evolution and Christianity, but I think that the driving force of evolution would have so be in accordance with some sort of programming, that would be, for instance, contained in some yet unknown meta-level coding in the DNA.

And there is nothing wrong with the concept a 13.7 billion year old universe or a 4.5 billion year old earth, as the six days of creation can be considered six phases of undetermined length - after all, the sun and the moon were created on the fourth day, so from that, it could not have been talking about normal earth days.

And the Big Bang may be considere the creation ex-nihilo, where God created all matter, energy, space, and time from nothing.

It is easier to play "follow the leader" than to think for yourself. The majority of the world believes in evolution so it is easy to side with the majority, even though they are wrong. They don't even have to prove anything, they base all of their knowledge on a theory, so it is easy to support. Their "missing link" has never been found and most of their "ancestors" have been reconstructed from very few pieces of bone or teeth. They construct whole skeletons in some case from one or two teeth and a very vivid imagination. But, evolution is popular so it must be right. Why bother to think for yourself, just follow the crowd.

I am sure they said the same thing when all of the scientists thought the world was flat. It only took one man to prove their theory wrong.

God will prove evolution wrong in the end. In the meantime, the evolution "sheep" will follow their theory right off the edge of the cliff.

The icecaps on Mars are melting, can anyone say global warming? Oh wait, there are no people on mars. Maybe the scientists got it wrong again.

We did not evolve from monkeys. However both monkeys and humans both evolved from a similar source.

The bible also clearly states that burning bushes talk to 800 year old men.

Cheers!

Why do SOME Christians still believe that we were made from mud by a mythical being when there is clear and definite evidence of use having evolved from higher order apes.

By the way - are you attacking liberals or the scientific fact of evolution. I am a political Liberal, and many of my colleagues are Christian - they do not believe in the nonsense of creationism.

Why are you under the impression that all liberals don't believe in Jesus? My fiance is a Christian, and a liberal.

The bible also clearly states that bats are birds, and that Egyptians can do magic. So what's your point?

We did, or we did evolve from a common ancestor of monkeys.

In my view, liberals are the most religious of all. Not only do they passionately uphold all the virtues of Christian pacifism, but they attend church and describe themselves as Christians in numbers, that I suspect, are proportionately higher than conservatives.

Your fundamental error is in believeing that the bible, the work of fiction written by men who were not scientists. Liberals believe in evolution because, no matter what fundamentalist christians say, it has been proven scientifically to be a valid scientific Theory.
