Okay, I am guessing it has something to do with the bible because my fiance is very religious and he just sent me a text that read..."A soul mate is something who feels the same on a lot of emotional levels, someone who will do anything to make that person happy, someone who can feel what you are feeling and be there for you when you fall...Jessica (Last name), you are every piece of that soul mate definition and then some-You are my soul mate and soon you will be my help meet!!!" HELP WHAT IS THAT!?!?!?!

What are you doing to show them that you love them?

2007-06-27 07:46:30 · 19 answers · asked by Anonymous

i ask this because when our kids mess up or break the rules, we don't condemn them to eternal torture like god does.

we will forgive them for not believing as we do. we will love them no matter who they are.

god doesn't seem to be quite as loving as people say he is.

Im from the city, and I see that urban Christians are more willing to challenge and question the Bible and its teachings then rural Christians living out in the country. Not that questioning is a bad thing, but why are city dwellers more likely to question then country folk? Do you think the influence of other religions in a city compared to mainly one religion per small town? It might be the "take no crap" attitude from the city compared to a "do as your told" attitude in the country? Whats your opponion?

"It is said that men may not be the dreams of the Gods, but rather that the Gods are the dreams of men." -

"It may be that our role on this planet is not to worship God, but to create him." -

"I distrust those people who know so well what God wants them to do because I notice it always coincides with their own desires." -

"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?"

You know your god is man-made when he hates all the same people you do.

"If it turns out that there is a God, I don't think that he's evil. But the worst that you can say is that he is an underachiever.

Now obviously, not all Christians are creationists, but I have never met a creationist atheist, so this question is directed towards Christians who believe in creationism. Lets just assume that all of humanity started from Adam and Eve. If Adam and Eve were the first humans, does that mean that their kids had sex with eachother to reproduce???? Did Adam and Eve live by the philosophy that "if you can't keep it in your pants, keep it in the family"???? Also, let's just assume that Adam and Eve were white. If Adam and Eve were white, where did blacks, latinos and asians come from???

I'm not baptized, but share many of the beliefs of the Catholic faith since I went to Catholic school for the first 9 years of my life.
I still occasionally go to Catholic church and prefer Catholic services, though I don't take communion.

So when people ask, can I still say I'm a Catholic or does the fact that I'm unbaptized make me a Christian?

Isn't it funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then
wonder why the world's going to hell.

Isn't it funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question
what the Bible says.

Isn't it funny how everyone wants to go to heaven provided they do not
have to believe, think, say, or do anything the Bible says. Or is it
scary?

Isn't it funny how someone can say "I believe in God" but still follow Satan

(who, by the way, also "believes" in God ).

but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think
twice about sharing.

Isn't it funny how someone can be so fired up for Christ on Sunday,
but be an invisible
Christian the rest of the week?

Are you laughing? !

Isn't it funny how when you go to forward this message, you will not
send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they
believe, or what they will think of you f or sending it to them.

Isn't it funny how I can be more worried about what
other people think of me than what God thinks of me.

If they do ignore them would you want your kids to live there anyway? Even as adults--just live there and ignore you and your rules? If not then why do people have problems with God saying you can't stay with me and do the stuff you want to do? He sends them to a place where they can do what they want to do---Hell. Why do some people have a problem with that?

I know there's no "chatting" allowed here (I've gotten a couple violations myself) but I'm wondering if there has ever been a time when the R&S people meet in a chat room and discuss these things real-time. I'm curious as to if that effects the quality and content of the discussions, as people would respond immediately and then be able to respond to responses instead of being limited to the question/answer format.

And this is a question, so please no more violations!

I think it's pretty arrogant of YOU who say a person that has personally witnessed a NDE, have witnessed the POWER OF HEALING through prayer or other miracles as DELUSIONAL...I personally witnessed GOD's power in my life.
After my brother's death my mother was inconsolable, about a week later I had made a terrible decison to get into a vehicle with my best friend's brother who was drunk (Brother was killed by a drunk driver) anyways he got on the wrong side of the freeway at 100 miles an hour weaving I could see cars heading twoards us at a distance.. I prayed to GOD with all my soul and might that GOD would make him stop because I knew my mom could not handle another death at that moment he just pulled over on the hwy got out and said I don't want to drive..I know GOD was in that car.. You can say you don't believe but that does not make it true for other's because they have witnessed...THE POWER OF GOD...

Whenever proof of reasonable doubt surfaces, their story changes to accomodate (cover up?) the evidence that their religion is not only false, but a straight up rip-off of other myths that were written hundreds of years before. How can they be false and christianity true if they came first? Tell me, did satan travel back in time and place those stories there? What new version will I hear this time?
