I'm pretty sure God wouldn't "choose" as His people, those that don't believe in Him. So, no. What else you got?

you mean the ones who swim against the tide
the ones who use their logic
the ones who do good for the sake of doing good and not for some reward
who knows
it is a good theory
it isnt imposible
although personally , I dont believe in " chosen people "
I believe we were all made to be individuals who believe what makes sense for us
we are all chosen in that respect

Another poster on here (Acid Bath Slayer) once gave an interesting response to a similar question. I saved it because I found it to be interesting. I hope he doesn't mind if I quote him.
"Philosopher and literary critic Galen Strawson once proposed that it was the atheists and agnostics that god must love the most: "For they are the ones who have taken him most seriously." Strawson saw blind belief in god as an insult to god himself. A god which gave us reason would want us to use it, wouldn't he? In a dispassionate and honest pursuit of God, I have found nothing but inventions of men. I take the questions of theology very seriously for they relate to and affect my life. But, I have an obligation and responsibility to rationality. I can only believe those things for which I have reason to believe. I can only set my beliefs to be proportional with evidence and logical deliberation. Sure, a heaven may sound good, but it is wishful thinking only. Even if there was a god, would he rather you honestly disbelieve or dishonestly and emotionally pursue him endlessly without any means, reason, or foundation? "

If god exists, and he is serious about making sure that only genuinely good and moral people make it into heaven, it's entirely possible that only atheists and other skeptics will have what it takes:
