properly, i'm no longer a Christian, yet for what it is worth, right here is my answer. It could no longer all be authentic because of the fact it contradicts itself in such various places. As a handbook on a thank you to act, the bible is thoroughly ineffective. Take any ethical difficulty and additionally you will discover Christians on the two facets. Capital punishment? Pacifism? eating meat? Apartheid? Slavery? Socialism? Beating young babies? Abortion? All my Christian friends in simple terms believe the bits of the bible that consider their own ideals. that's why there are such various different Christian sects. And it is the comparable with everyother faith i've got ever heard of. besides, the bible is in basic terms a determination of information written by way of different human beings a lengthy time after the activities they declare to describe allegedly happened. Which thoughts do you contain? The Apocrypha? The Mormon prophets? the hot testomony? The Koran? David Koresh's ravings? and prefer another translation, 2 translators working independently will arise with different translations. Which bible is the properly suited version; the Vulgate? The King James? the hot English Bible? As an informed person residing interior the twenty first century you be attentive to way extra advantageous than the superstitious goatherds who made up the bible myths.

Basically, they follow all parts of the Bible. Some parts, should I say may be 'cancelled out' by others like a certain part of the Bible (i think leviticus or books close to it) that talks about clean and unclean things and how to clean yourself when you are unclean dont really hold much relevance cos Jesus has already died for us and so we can go through Him directly to ask for cleansing of our sins. Also, Jesus rendered null, some of the practices that were carried out in the Old testament, like some of the punishments they carry out on offenders. But yet, the Ten commandments is in the old testament (The first 5 books, probably exodus) and christians still obey it till now.

Christians follow the old and new testament. Leviticus cites laws of the time, laws Jesus came to respond to. The Bible as a whole, shows that the only true law was set forth by Jesus, who clarified what we read in the Old testament.

Many people claim that they believe in the entire Bible, but its their interpretation of the Bible that differs from church to church.
-Many claim that the old testament is no longer needed,
Revelation22:19 says if anyone shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life
-Many claim that the 10 commandments were abolished,
Revelation 22:14 says blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life.
Matthew 5:17-18 says don't think that I came to abolish the Law, I came to fulfill it"
-Many claim that there will be a secret rapture,
Revelation1:7 says, every eye will see Him, and how can it be a secret when angels will be singing and loud trumpets will be sounding?
-Many think that the Sabbath was abolished, but before Jesus comes: Matthew 24:20 "Pray that your flight will not be in the winter or on the sabbath day"
-Many claim that when we die we go straight to heaven,
Daniel 12:2 says many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. John 5:28-29 verifies this. Even David died and was buried and his tomb is still here among us(Acts 2:29)

Christians must study the entire Bible; every single book, paragraph, and verse.
The Bible is clear! and when you study it diligently, The Lord will help you see its beautiful blessings.

Christians believe that the Old Testament leads up to the New Testament. Both testaments are the inherited word of God written through people, servants, and children of God. Christians believe that the New Testament confirms all the covenants that were given to us in the Old Testament. We believe in both the Old and New Testament. But we do not only believe the Old Testament or only the New Testament. If we only believed in the Old Testament, we would be Jewish for not believing in Jesus Christ and that he is our savior

There are three types of OT laws: Civil (government), ceremonial (pointing to a Messiah - Jesus), and moral. Of all the OT laws, only about 6% can be applied outside the State of Israel. That fact, along with all the laws that were fulfilled with Jesus' death on the cross, basically eliminates all the civil and ceremonial laws. That leaves us with the moral laws to ponder.

Moral laws applied to pre-Israel, Israel, and post-Israel. The NT confirms that the moral laws are still in effect (homosexuality, adultery, etc.). All of the Ten Commandments were repeated again in the NT except keeping the Sabbath (the principle of one day of rest still applies, just not necessarily on Saturday). The NT also confirmed it isn't just the action that is wrong, but also the "thought" behind a wrong action (Matt. 5:27-28).

Does this mean we can do away with the Old Testament? Hardly! It still has tremendous applications for Christians today, and the history of the world is recorded by it. The books of wisdom (Psalms, Proverbs, Job, Song of Solomon and Ecclesiastes) are rich in instruction as Godly wisdom is eternal and never changes. The prophetic books are crucial to PROVING the accuracy of the Bible.

The law can't save you (Gal. 2:21). But we will be judged according to its righteous standard as it applies to us (I Cor. 3:13-15).

We believe that all parts of the bible are valuable, but they should be applied in different ways according to the context in which they were given.

The Old Testament Levitical laws were given to the Jewish Priesthood of the Levites - this priesthood is no longer in operation because Jesus is our great High Priest - we no longer have to keep offering sacrifices for our sins every day, year after year, because Jesus was one perfect sacrifice once and for all mankind.

You might find it helpful to read the book of Hebrews in the New Testament which will explain to you how Jesus fufilled the Old Testament law.

Most Christians believe in ALL of the Bible, Old and New Testament... but that does not prevent them from interpreting it in different ways. Ultimately, you are asking an overly simplistic question for something very complex and covering a wide range of different kinds of people and viewpoints. The most important thing to do is to be careful not to take things out of context. Even a lot of seasoned Christians make that mistake.

Actual Christians believe all of the Bible. There more intelligent of them also are pretty good at discerning which parts of it are literal truths, and which parts are analogues. They also can discern between God's dispensational periods, and recognize that most of the laws/rules in Leviticus were designed to assist the non-scientific and naive peoples of the dawn of civilization to fall into fewer difficult sitautions in their lives.

The PSEUDO-Christians of the RRR Cult have been conned into thinking that ALL of it should be taken literally... but the RRR's leaders are very careful never to mention passages that would INDICT their supporting their agendas of hate.

We believe all of the Bible. The old testament is early history and the new testament is after the birth of Christ. The new testament is what we follow, in other words follow Christ as closely as we can. Christ was perfect, we are not, He is what unites us with God...where as like the Catholics feel they have to have a priest or pope to connect them to God.
