i ask this because when our kids mess up or break the rules, we don't condemn them to eternal torture like god does.

we will forgive them for not believing as we do. we will love them no matter who they are.

god doesn't seem to be quite as loving as people say he is.

If a man commits adultery with another man's wife -with the wife of his neighbour-both the adulterer and adulteress must be put to death. -Leviticus 20:10

If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what it detestable. They must be put to death. -Leviticus20:13

If your son slept with his friends wife would you kill him?

If your son slept with another man would you kill him?

Of course not. Any intelligent rational thinking person would not kill him.

So why does YOUR GOD order such things?

He doesn't because YOUR GOD isn't real.

He's imaginary.

Don't give me that old testament and new testament crap either.
That's the John Kerry line. "I was for the war before I was against it".

Well, seeing as I believe in Gods plural and Goddesses, I can't respond on just the one God. But I will throw my two cents in anyway.

Humans, as an intelligent species, can't love unconditionally. It is not in our nature. Yes we love our kids in what we perceive as unconditional love, and yes we don't condemn them when they break simple rules, but what about those who turn away from their children because they are gay? or pedophiles? or murderers? To love unconditionally would be t o love even those people.

I do not love unconditionally and I never will, for I feel that opens the door to have your heart broken, yes there are conditions to my love, be kind, be fair, and be a good person, be ethical, and moral, and try and live your life the best you can.

As for my Gods and Goddess's loving unconditionally? Not a chance, I must be morally and ethically a good person, I must honour my family, and my beliefs, and do everything in my power to bring about the good in my life. So no I don't think they love unconditionally either.

God doesn't condemn people to go to hell forever--The Vedas of India are the most authoritative scriptures on these details and they say that hell actually only lasts a few seconds but it seems like forever--in any case hell is not forever --God is the most merciful and kind- we could never be as kind as Him!
-now a days people let their kids get away with disrespect and eating whatever they want etc. But that isn't really kindness is it -kids need to learn respect and good manners-or they might grow up and become criminals with rotten teeth, bad health and bad attitudes!

First of all, 'God DOES NOT condemn anyone to eternal torture', (except Satan and his demons); read Revelation 20, 21 22.

(Once again, 'misinterpretations' of scripture on the part of the Catholics and their, sister, Protestants; based on Greek mythology).

God, our Father, doesn't want ANYONE to perish; ('in the 'second death' that He only 'reluctantly' allows those who completely reject Him to experience').

Our God IS 'longsuffering' and 'ever forgiving' and certainly loves us most 'unconditionally!'.

The love we offer as mortal beings can never even begin to compare!!

God bless.

no people cant! God forgives us too! if God was so unloving then i think his punishment would of came a long time ago! but since he knew we were gonna make mistakes he sent himself down in person through mary then died so we wouldnt be condemned! he is longsuffering toward us so that none would perish! humans arent that compassionate at all! humans are real fast to do evil for evil! matter of fact its been people that constantly betray me NOT GOD! you dont want to go to hell then serve him. you have the choice where you want to go in the end! dont blame him if you choose to be condemned to hell. matter of fact at least he told us the consequence behind our living in sin. when ever we do wrong to the next person we never know what they are willing to do to us. not all parents are loving either, read the news and see what these sick people do to their children! at least he is the same ALL the time. hes not gonna one min let you take a cookie and do nothing but the next punish you for it. now give me all the thumbs down that you please.

God is & will always be the most merciful & loving father anyone will ever have. He does not condemn anyone to eternal torture, individuals make this choice by not having faith in the Lord & living in His will. God loves us all no matter what & Jesus died on the cross for our sins though he did not have to. There is no greater love than this!

it is good that as a mother you love like that

however, i know for a very real fact that not all mothers love unconditionally. in fact some mothers are incapable of love at all.....

so in answer to your question, i would say no.

LMAO, so true. If he/she was truly a God of love, there wouldn't be innocent kids starving to death all over the world. I wouldn't let that happen so why does God?......

Not everyone is a child of God. Once he sends someone to hell he doesn't love them anymore. Judgement has been passed.
