After some questioning and reading, I have seen that most people would classify me as an agnostic - this is because I cannot prove nor disprove deism or atheism. My question is aren't christians and atheists just on the complete opposite sides of the spectrum still requiring the same degree of proof? So it's 2 questions really...How do christians prove there is a god? How do atheists prove there isn't? As far as I'm concerned, I have yet to hear a strong argument for either side.

telling you they are doing it because they care? They are trying to save you? Does it ever occur to them that they might be the ones who need saving? They are so concerned with your "drowning" they don't see themselves going under? Drives me nuts.

Hello my friends! I pray that you are all doing well today. I suppose that we have all heard the saying, " God will never put anything on our shoulders that we cannot handle." I have heard that alot, and after hearing it a dozen times maybe it doesn't seem very comforting anymore. But, friends, I am saying it to you again!
Let us look in the book of Job:
The Lord said to Satan, " Very well then, everything he has is in your hands, but on the man himself do not lay a finger" Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord. Job 1:12
Do you see, dear ones? Satan CANNOT do anything that the Lord has not given him permission to do. Let's look in Luke:
Look at what Jesus said to Simon Peter:
" Simon, Simon, Satan has ASKED to sift you as wheat. But, I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail" Luke 22:31
Oh, my! Do you see that? Satan had to ask permission from God before he could do anything! What do you think that says about us and our situations?

Can Some of the people who fall away from God be explained due to their lack of personal connection? What I mean is, did they live off of others experiences and evidence of God? Like those raised in Chruch or saved by excitment of the moment of believing and then never really actually having their own moment with God it faded in time?

I have had it hammered into me all my life that we should respect other peoples views and beliefs, esecially the religious ones.

But why should I when those beliefs are so ridiculous and WRONG and a great source of violence and oppression?

Do Atheists have rights not to have their lives affected by what religious leaders say about drugs, immorality, abortion, for example?

Please share your thoughts with me, whatever you think

"And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so."

There's no mention of shifting plates or one land mass becoming several.

Is this different than the biblical argument against evolution?
How so?

Nobody even thought to send flowers or a card to the funeral home until I came in after 2 days off and bought a card for everyone to sign. Now we are taking up a collection and sending flowers to her home. Is there anything else we should be doing besides just being there for her. Her husband was Muslim, as well as her children and she's Catholic.
