... like they think we are. We are trying to force you to be treated just like everyone else instead of getting treated with favoritism. You may not like that there are other religions in the world, but there are. And the Western nations are about freedom and equality for ALL, not just freedom and equality only among the Christians.

Is it some mental blockage that prevents you from thinking logically?

Matt. 14:28-29 - only Peter has the faith to walk on water. No other man in Scripture is said to have the faith to walk on water. This faith ultimately did not fail. when Jesus got arrested by the romans he told peter he would deny him thrice or three times would not this show a lack of faith in what jesus or what he had taught peter

Really, think about it.
murder, rape, robbery everyday.
god is angry that you put his name on an evil country.
why cant you see that if we are to prosper as a country we must get rid of the pledge.
Its a curse thats holding us down!
As a christian, I will fight with everything I have to get it removed.
Atheists are right.
We need to listen to them.
Why cant you see god is using atheits to keep us in check!
Thank god for atheists!!
GOD IS LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Son was all I had. When He died four yrs ago, I spiritually died too. I turned to every Christian I knew. The answer was always"don't question God's wisdom. I prayed. I just fell deeper into darkness.A few months ago I made friends on Q/A with a man who happened to be an aitheist. He never put down Christians, instead He showed me an understanding and compassion that was above any religion. My God is inside ME. My God would never condemn someone that brought me back from the darkness. In the afterlife that nooone knows, I will see my friend. I respect and thank MY God for bringing this amazing person into my life..Atheist is a word created by Man. Why do we Christians judge? Isn't that wrong?

It is said that evolution is a result of constant mutations that over millions of years have resulted through natural selective pressures to an increase of genetic information. Therefore that parasite somehow gained the genetic information to make a flagella from somewhere.

Statistically for that to be true there has to be increase of genetic information left, right and center in order to get one mutation that will be beneficial in the short duration of the life forms found on earth.

So give me only one example of increase of genetic information, not uptake of already existing genes, not invertions of already existing genes, not a deletion that resulted in some resistance to antibiotics, just one shred of evidence of naturally occuring increase of genetic information.

Come on let's be fair you say there is no evidence of God but there is evidence of a world created by chance, show me just one of these increase of information from scratch that could prove your evolutionTHEORY

I've heard this over and over. The reason I don't want to give up Atheism is because I don't want to have to make all the lifestyle changes involved in becoming a Christian. I want to keep my sinful ways, so the Christian says.

Well, tell me, what lifestyle changes would I have to make?

I am honest, I don't drink or do drugs, I don't sleep around, I try to be nice and helpful to people.

Read this prayer and tell me what you think?

Since the Pledge of Allegiance and The Lord's Prayer
are not allowed in most public schools anymore
Because the word "God" is mentioned....
A kid in Arizona wrote the attached NEW School prayer.

I liked it.

Now I sit me down in school

Where praying is against the rule

For this great nation under God

Finds mention of Him very odd.

If Scripture now the class recites,

It violates the Bill of Rights.

And anytime my head I bow

Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,

That's no offense; it's a freedom scene.

The law is specific, the law is precise.

Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall

Might offend someone with no faith at all.

In silence alone we must meditate,

God's name is prohibited by the state.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,

And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.

They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.

To quote the Good Book makes me liable.

We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,

And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.

It's "inappropriate" to teach right from wrong,

We're taught that such "judgments" do not belong.

We can get our condoms and birth controls,

Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles.

But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,

No word of God must reach this crowd.

It's scary here I must confess,

When chaos reigns the school's a mess.

So, Lord, this silent plea I make:

Should I be shot; My soul please take!

Amen

According to Jewish teaching, the goyim (non-Jews) are secure in the world to come, as long as they've obeyed the Seven Noahide Laws.

What of those who don't?

i'm not baptized and i've never really been a church goer because my family was not religious while growing up. i've attended a few different kinds of churches, like the episcopal church, lutheran churches and non-denominational churches in the past. i would like to attend catholic mass, but frankly i am a little scared/nervous. i can't take communion, will people look at me strangely because of this? i don't have catholic friends to go with, at least not ones that are practicing. will the catholic church welcome someone who is just curious and inquiring?

by the way, i am in my mid-twenties if that makes a difference.

The religious environment that Pascal lived in was simple. Belief and disbelief only boiled down to two choices: Roman Catholicism and atheism. With a finite choice, his argument would be sound. But on Pascal's own premise that God is infinitely incomprehensible, then in theory, there would be an infinite number of possible theologies about God, all of which are equally probable.

Given that there are more than 2,500 gods known to man, and given Pascal's own assumptions that one cannot comprehend God (or gods), then it follows that, even the best case scenario (i.e. that God exists and that one of the known Gods and theologies happen to be the correct one) the chances of making a successful choice is less than one in 2,500.

Also, Pascal's negative theology does not exclude the possibility that the true God and true theology is not one that is currently known to the world.

Can you who use this wager against atheists, see the flaw in it?

"New Light": "A new view of truth can never contradict a former truth. 'New light' never extinguishes older 'light', but adds to it.... So is it with the light of truth; the true increase is by adding to, not by substituting one for another". Zion's Watchtower, Feb. 1881

Jesus is NOT Michael the Archangel: "Hence it is said, 'Let all the angels of God worship him': (that must include Michael, the chief angel, hence Michael is not the Son of God)....".
The Watchtower, November 1879, p. 4

Jesus IS Michael the Archangel: "Jesus Christ, whom we understand from the scriptures to be Michael the Archangel." The Watchtower, Feb. 15, 1979, p. 31

The Watchtower Society has declared that "new light" can never contradict a former truth. Can Jesus really be Michael the Archangel?

So if you "don't care" don't answer. If you want to comment on my "indoctrination," "brainwashing," "ignorance," etc...don't bother. I think I get the idea.
1. Atheists-do you know the definitions of faith and superstition? Superstition is based on fear, all faith is not based on fear of hell or punishment. That is a false concept of God.
2. Not all Christians, or other people of faith have unexamined faith lives. Many people have questioned their faith, their beliefs, and their concepts of God, and still come out with faith. Many people aren't afraid of doubt.
3. Not all Christians take the Bible literally, or consider it proof of God's existence.

The closer I grow to God, and the more I learn about the strategic and hateful actions of Satan, the more I've wondered about this.

According to the scriptures below, can a Christian be saved, born again, and filled with the Holy Spirit while hating Satan and demons?

Psalms 5:5 The boasters shall not set themselves before Your eyes. You "hate" all workers of iniquity.

Psalms 11:5 Jehovah tries the righteous, but His soul "hates" the wicked and the one loving violence.

Pro 6:16-19 These six things Jehovah hates; yea, seven are hateful to his soul... a false witness who breathes lies, and he who causes strife among brothers.

Hoseah 9:15 All their wickedness is in Gilgal, for there I hated them. I will drive them out of My house for the wickedness of their doings, I will not add to love them; all their rulers are revolters.

Rev 2:6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

Does this mean that while the church is here in the world the end can't come until the gospel of the grace of God is preached world-wide? Jesus is answering the question about a sign of the end of the age, and maybe not promoting sending the gospel to the ends of the earth. I am a little confused.

For a few months now I find myself not really feeling any emotion towards anything. I kind of have this "whatever" attitude and I don't like being this way. I don't feel like I care about anything and I remember that I use to be so sensitive to how people felt (not towards me but their heartaches and disappointments) I honestly feel like I don't know what to do about this. Does anyone have any advice?
