... like they think we are. We are trying to force you to be treated just like everyone else instead of getting treated with favoritism. You may not like that there are other religions in the world, but there are. And the Western nations are about freedom and equality for ALL, not just freedom and equality only among the Christians.
Is it some mental blockage that prevents you from thinking logically?

Flaw, what was the point in posting that? It had nothing at all to do with what I was asking in any way.

JesusFan, you don't read very well do you? Read the answers to your own question before you try to reference something you said yourself only 5 minutes ago.

sparty, I know quite alot about the us. I've even taken American history in college. You are not a Christian nation, you never were. So your argument holds no water at all.

Maricely, judging from the posts on here, you are a very rare gem among Christians.

F. taylor, you mean like they mock everyone that isn't Christian by pushing their religion on them?

I've been saying this for a year here - I don't want to "persecute" Christians, or remove their rights, or even remove their god off the money or the pledge. I want all people of every religion to be treated with respect, given equal time and equal fairness.
I'll never understand what the problem is there. Recognition of the other holy days is not going to make a Christian question their faith, is it? It's not going to convert them to another faith, is it? So what's the big deal? If you don't like it, ignore it. But don't whine and complain about persecution when the Christian "God" is on the money, and the Christian "God" is in the pledge. (I know it doesn't specifically say that, but let's face it, it's implied.) I don't see any dollars with the name Allah, Zeus, or any other god. American Christians need to get over themselves.

What will "forcing" equality between all religions really do to improve the world? I like you am not a christian but at least I can see that the underlying doctrine of christianity is pretty solid. Can't we all agree that murder is wrong, that lying, stealing, cheating, hating, is something that we as humans should not do? Should we not love everyone as ourselves and help our neighbors? To me it seems slightly offensive that you assume christians even have a role of favoritism and dislike for other religions when their own religion prohibits non accemptance of others. The reason our United States has its core principal of freedom and justice for all is because our country was founded not on christian principles but on men who had judeo-christain values. Lastly, to think that by forcing equality you are promoting freedom and that in doing so you are thinking in a logical manner is totally ridiculous - talk about circular reasoning.

Having to call a Christmas Tree a Holiday Tree is removing Christ. Saying Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas, which is a federal holiday, is removing Christ. Only being able to display a nativity scene without a Baby Jesus is removing Jesus. What are you talking about? These are traditions that have been around forever and it's not favoritism. Start some new ones, but leave ours alone. Let other religions have national holidays. Oh wait, they already do. Let Muslims take off from work to pray 5 times a day with pay...oh wait, they already do. Let's put feet washers in airports for the praying Muslims...that's happening. Let's allow Muslims to discriminate against blind people by not allowing seeing eye-dogs in their taxis...they already do. God forbid we say Merry Christmas because someone, somewhere might be offended. Get real. It's impossible to please everyone.
God Bless.

We actually are quite concerned that god and any other mention of religion is removed, or not allowed in the first place, from the school systems and the government.
Much like being gay, it is a private choice that has no business being pushed on those who happen to disagree.

Not to imply that the ACLU is all atheist, but here is an example of Christianity being singled out for exclusion: they demanded that a tiny image of a cross be removed from the Los Angeles County seal, while NOT objecting to the significantly larger image of the Roman goddess Pomona!

OK first I'm a Yankee living in the south (not a big deal but is interesting)
and then I'm an Apostolic among Christians (that is harder to explain but we do not believe in a trinity and that is a no no with most of them to put it simply)
I don't get equality among them I don't expect you to and the Apostolics are of the very first church?

Not everything?
Then what are you trying to limit yourselves to removing Him from? Storefronts? If you own a store, then you can decorate your sidewalk facing windows however you wish.
Just ask the adult "toy" store owners. That's freedom of religion (or freedom from religion.)
Christian-owned businesses also may be decorated in any fashion that the owner wishes.
If you're only interested in keeping Jesus' name off of money, then it's the word "God" on money, and most people believe in some god or other.

too lots to ensure. I caught the final sentence regardless of the undeniable fact that. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Even God got here down and stated at his baptism "it is my son in whom i'm nicely extremely joyful". Jesus prayed to him in the backyard earlier he grew to become into arrested. Jesus prayed to him on the pass. there are various places in the bible that state this reality. all of us is ignorant, closed minded, close off their hearts and that they are bitter. human beings do no longer forgive, they argue. Even Christians argue. basically dedicated and organic in heart see God. meaning, no longer many see God. meaning even many Christians will never see God. unhappy yet actual.

I guess it depends on who you speak with - I'm Christian and I wouldnt say I hate all atheist because I dont I hate what you believe in (hate the sin not the sinner)... . And nor should you say all Christians when you are speaking about one experience. If you think that I mind other religions I dont, Its our freedom to believe in any religion we want. I hope your on the right path when Jesus comes because he will be here soon. God Bless!

not all Christians are like that and I don't say that because I am one, as matter of fact I am an Atheists but there are people in every different religion that are the extremest and feel the need to force their opinions on others, that doesn't make it right it's just the way the world full of so many different religions works unfortunately
