The closer I grow to God, and the more I learn about the strategic and hateful actions of Satan, the more I've wondered about this.

According to the scriptures below, can a Christian be saved, born again, and filled with the Holy Spirit while hating Satan and demons?

Psalms 5:5 The boasters shall not set themselves before Your eyes. You "hate" all workers of iniquity.

Psalms 11:5 Jehovah tries the righteous, but His soul "hates" the wicked and the one loving violence.

Pro 6:16-19 These six things Jehovah hates; yea, seven are hateful to his soul... a false witness who breathes lies, and he who causes strife among brothers.

Hoseah 9:15 All their wickedness is in Gilgal, for there I hated them. I will drive them out of My house for the wickedness of their doings, I will not add to love them; all their rulers are revolters.

Rev 2:6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.

Tori: A Christian, who walks in a spiritual relationship with his Creator - God, the Father, through Jesus Christ, can NOT afford the luxury, to hate anyone - even, Satan and his demonic army of fallen angels. In the Book of Jude, Chapter 1, verse 9 very well, sums this up. As the Archangel, Michael, as confronted by Satan regarding the bones of Moses showed a meek attitude towards him. God does not hate anyone but hates sin - as God is the absolute source of love, as depicted in His grace for his Creation.

Careful how you define hate and it's usage in scripture.

God's Spirit is a Spirit of love. We are to love even our enemies.

Satan's mind became corrupt when he abandoned God. If anything, we should pity him, and realize he is an example for us should we abandon God.

When people turn to God, He places a "heart of flesh" in a person to replace the "heart of stone" that hates. Receiving God's Spirit is also described as a healing; a healing of the mind.

OK you are not making any sense at all. I am a Christian and any TRUE Christian would not kill children in the name of their God. True Christians will not blow up abortion clinics. I have never seen when it is acceptable for Christians to act out against a non-believer. IT IS WRONG! That person that killed the abortion doc in the name of God deserves to be punished. I am the first to say abortion is wrong, but as a believer in Christ, I would never kill someone for what I believe. You need to meet some true believers. Where have you been?

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

No, it is not right. Even the Archangel didn't dare to bring a railing accusation against him when disputing over Moses...we may hate what they do, but don't hate them. Leave that for God.

The devil just wants your attention, any attention (including hate) so that you can take your eyes off of Jesus. Don't buy into it. Jesus already has victory over that lying devil. You can rebuke Him in Jesus' name. In Jesus' name, he *trembles*.
