3 John 1:11
Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.

Those who are saved in Him should imitate what is GOOD- and Good is hard to distinguish with the world, for the world will view good as evil and evil as good- but those who are walking with the Lord are given spiritual discernment-- to know what is of God and what is not.
We are saved by His wonderful grace! (Ephesians 2:8) And the goodness in us is from Him. We should always imitate Him!

God says to come to Him- for only He can take your burdens and give you a wonderful peace within- the peace and JOY of His salvation! There is nothing greater than that!

"Jesus Christ identified a first requirement when he said in prayer to his Father: 'This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you... Many have found the second requirement more difficult. It is to obey God's laws, yes, to conform one's life to the moral requirements set out in the Bible...A third requirement is that we be associated with God's channel, his organization...To receive everlasting life in the earthly Paradise we must identify that organization and serve God as part of it...The fourth requirement is connected with loyalty. God requires that prospective subjects of his kingdom support his government by loyally advocating his kingdom rule to others..." (four requirements for salvation as taught by the Watchtower magazine of Feb. 15, 1983, p. 12.

I find that hard to believe. I mean, the Bible is different from any other religious book. It has been written over a period of 1,600 years by over 40 different authors, a fact that sets it apart from other religious writings. Religious writings from other major world religions which claim to be divinely inspired, have indeed been written by, or based upon, the teaching of one person. It is easy for one person to invent a concept and for that concept to be reasonably consistent throughout, for the author only has his own imagination to contend with. But imagine the problems that would arise when dealing with 40 different authors. If it isn't authentic, you would get 40 different gods because each of those authors would have their own idea of the kind of god they want to invent. These authors, most of whom lived at different times in history, from different social backgrounds, and never met, yet all of them have written consistently about the character, nature, purposes and plans of God

Aren't those the only ways to avoid hell--slaughter livestock in the B.C. time, and worship Jesus in the A.D. time? I would think the neanderthals and early people might be too slow to understand Judaism and Christianity.

It is not in the Bible. Jesus is mentioned as a child when he is born and when he is presented in the Temple and then it just basically says he grew in strength and grace or something like that ( I don't have my Bible right in front of me) but, you do not hear about him again until he comes on the scene for his Ministry, so where is all the Scripture that talks about Jesus as a child?

We are in the beginning of :The Seventh Seal (Revelation 8:1-5), the beginning of the Seven Trumpets.
The Two Witnesses (Revelation 11:1-12), two powerful adversaries to the antichrist.
The First Trumpet (Revelation 8:7), a third of the earth is burned.-METEOR TO HIT EARTH
The Second Trumpet (Revelation 8:8-9), a third of sea life is destroyed.
The Third Trumpet (Revelation 8:10-11), a third of the water is poisoned.-HAPPENING NOW-Hundreds of dead or dying purple sea urchins have washed up into tide pools at a Southern California marine refuge center in recent days, but no one is certain what is killing them.
The Fourth Trumpet (Revelation 8:12-13), darkness on the earth.
The original "Vulcan, Comets and the Impending Catastrophe" paper indicates that Earth is periodically vulnerable to meteors/comets swarm strikes every 1,677 years.1 Long period comets, offering little warning time, may have struck Earth 5,000 and 11,600 years ago causing Noah's flood..Thoughts?

I have a girl that slept with my boyfriend, of 2 years, that I live with. He has broken it off with her and we have decided to stay together. She knew about me and knew that there were children in the relationship that think of him as a father. She didn’t care and tried everything she could to get him to stay with her. I really dislike this girl just because of the type of sleazy person she is, I’m told I should pray that good things happen to her, I would rather pray she fall off a cliff. I don’t understand the logic behind praying for her? I don’t want to pray for her much less even think about her. How is this going to even benefit me at all, when just thinking about her makes me so angry?

My boss once told me that he was in the CIA for over 20 years, and that when he was 15, he stoped the Mormon Church in Lake Oswego Oregon. I think the man is lieing, but you never know... He said that he stoped it by him doing secret investigations involving the CIA and the Mormon Church. I researched it, but found nothing. It occured in the late 70s-90s. I found nothing on Wikipedia.

I have been giving serious thought to whether or not I believe the New Testament or if it is a giant con. People use Isaiah 7:14 as a prophetic reference to the virgin birth, but the verse is taken so far out of context that it is almost laughable that someone could derive that from it. If someone reads the whole chapter and not just that verse, they will find Judah at war on two fronts. The king of Judah was an evil king, but G-d assured the king through the prophet Isaiah that G-d would give Judah victory in these wars. Verse 16 gives qualifying info to prophecy of the child. "for before the child shall know to refuse the bad and choose the good, the land you abhor shall be forsaken by both her kings" I don't think these series of verses of immediate deliverence from invading forces are fulfilled by a virgin birth 700 years later. Joseph wasn't like, "Praise G-d, you must be the prophesied virgin mother of the Messiah." He wanted a divorce. If the expectation was..........

There are many finds that confirm dates, places metioned in the bible are true, but that can't be proof that it is all true. Where is the proof for the Ark, Jonah and the whale, Jesus walking on water to name a few.
(that thing they found in Turkey has been proven not to be the Ark, so don't even think about bringing it up)

Okay, well I know how people say that there is only FAITH in that somebody...but I don't even know who that somebody is. I've never gone to any type of church, but my parents are both lutheran. They've never taught me about any religion [I am 15], and I just want to know what I would be 'classified as'

-I don't believe in Jesus
-I believe that there is a higher being, but I don't necissarily believe that it's 'our creator'
-I don't believe in Hell
-I believe in karma, past lives, and life after death
-I don't think that it's bad to have sex before marriage, so in other words I don't believe in abstinence.
-I believe in the 4 different elements.

So uhh, that's pretty much the basics. What is this basically describing? As I've said before I've never studies any type of religion, and I'm just trying to find faith in something. If you could, try to provide some sort of information. Alright, well thank you so much for caring! =]
