To subscribe to any belief wholeheartedly seems a little too rigid and somewhat narrow minded. Can you tell me in one sentence why being agnostic is considered a poor choice as opposed to making a concrete decision either way? Is there a certain harm to being agnostic?
Believer and atheist alike please answer.
And nothing condescending please like "Maybe theres a easter bunny or the FSM" or "well youre going to burn in hell" as I have heard that stuff before.

Forcing someone to suffer for not returning your love is cruel, spiteful and petty.

My boyfriend is in the religion Eckankar and I really think he has a screw loose. Has anyone known a person who follows this religion? If so, can you understand the beliefs? I have tried really hard but it all seems like gobbledygook to me and I am about to give up trying to understand.

Hitler sent millions of perfectly moral and good people to hell (concentration camps) for no other reason than that they had a set of beliefs that he was against.

How is this different from God sending millions of moral, loving, compassionate athiests to hell for no other reason than that they believe something the he doesn't like. How can you even begin to justify this? Please justify it.

Could you truly send a person who lived a moral life, had a family which they loved, and helped everyone they could to hell just because they believed that maybe there wasn't a god. Is there anything more unchristian than that?

Doesn't christianity teach you unconditional love? Then why does this perfect being send so many good people to hell?

Could it be possible that there are other Gods in the universe, and that our God is just the only God in our Galaxy (or something like that.)? Then our God has not been alone for eternities, before creating other intelligent beings. Well, this is speculation, but still....

I know people have been wondering this, and I also know it is not a subject that is known to be factual. And sorry everyone, but there is no actual proof of a being known as god, and it isnt definite that one being created the universe. So far, only science has a logical explanation for life, so lets leave all of the religious beliefs answers out of this one. I understand that religion hasnt really been proved as accurate, but if someone has some kind of decent explanation with some kind of somewhat reasonable backing to it, then that would be cool. Thanks.

Have you noticed the increasing number of young people especially guys (because they generally don't dye their hair) with white hair? I am talking even as young as 15 y/o and say a count of 10 strands of white hair and over.

Why do you think this is? Is it the food, the stress, the toxicity of vitamin tablets, medicine, what is the cause of it? I would be interested to see your response

i believe in god; but, being human, I have bouts of fear, worry and insecurity. i feel guilty about this when I have promised repeatedly to give my life to God.
I am not in control of this journey of life; he is.
yet, at time, I falter.
what do you do to maintain your trust?
